Job role changed, what about pay?

I am having to change roles at work from support work to admin for the remainder of my pregnancy due to healthy and safety concerns caused by covid.

As a support worker I have been undertaking sleep-in shifts which are not contractual and paid in addition to the 163 hours I am contracted to do a month.

As admin I will no longer be able to complete sleep shifts but these added an extra £270 (at least) to my paycheck each month. Should work continue to pay me as if I am completing these shifts? I believe the pay is meant to be no worse than what I would receive in my original role and that I shouldn't be financially penalised for my pregnancy but I could be wrong.

I would think that since they are not contractual hours that they don't have to pay them. They'll only be obliged to pay you your full basic pay. I'm not sure though.

If the sleep in shifts are not in your contract and are essentially over time then no I don't think they are required to pay them.

Some companies will use an average of earnings, which therefore would include them, but this is down to the individual company.

As overtime isn't guaranteed hours they aren't leaving you worse off as a result of maternity (which you are correct would be discrimination and is illegal) as you will still be getting the salary that you are contracted to.

You would be best speaking to your employer and finding out what they do
