6 week and no sickness or nausea is everything okay?!

Hey everyone!

Im exactly 6 weeks. I'm trying so hard to tell myself every pregnancy is different and that I should be enjoying every second of no sickness and nausea and counting myself as one of the lucky ones. But I cannot shift the the constant lingering anxiety that I should have some mild nausea at least for things to be okay?

Looking for some reassurance and success stories about people who had healthy pregnancies with no sickness or experienced sickness later on!

Many thanks from a fellow Dr google searching addict ❤️

mine didn't hit until 7 weeks both times. Some friends had none at all. They really are all different

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 09/05/2021 23:59

I didn't get any nausea or aversions with my now teenager. I was tired. That and no periods were my only symptoms.

je4852 · 10/05/2021 00:00

I had a vague sicky sensation on and off between about 9 and 14 weeks but not actually physically sick with my first and no feelings of any kind with my second. Both perfectly healthy pregnancies and babies.

Element4056 · 10/05/2021 00:03

I had no sickness or nausea at all for my entire pregnancy. DS is now 5 months old. Try not to worry - all pregnancies are different.

SkiingIsHeaven · 10/05/2021 00:03

No sickness or nausea with either of my two. Both happy and healthy.

Good luck.

Mumof1andacat · 10/05/2021 00:04

I had zero symptoms my whole pregnancy. No nausea, sickness, heartburn, aches and pains or tiredness. Enjoy it x

AnonGlitterBomb · 10/05/2021 00:05

When I had my Ds, it didn’t start until I was about 7 weeks
Make the most of it

This is exactly what I needed to read! Thank you so much for sharing and reassuring me ❤️ I might actually get to sleep early tonight instead of reading every google article 🤣

I didn't know I was pregnant until ten weeks! No sickness, some lightheadedness I put down to heat or not having eaten, I was very thirsty and waking up at night to pee. I thought I was diabetic initially, but even those symptoms didn't kick in until week nine.

Aquamarine1029 · 10/05/2021 01:07

I had zero symptoms with either of my pregnancies, literally nothing until being tired at the very end. Never a second of nausea. They are both very happy, healthy adults now.

AlwaysLatte · 10/05/2021 01:08

Please don't worry. I had absolutely no sickness/nausea in either of my two pregnancies and all was fine.

Elllicam · 10/05/2021 01:10

I’ve had 4 babies and 17 weeks with number 5 and barely any nausea or sickness. 3 of my pregnancies I wasn’t sick at all and I’ve only been sick once this time (there was a hair in my mouth).

LadyCluck · 10/05/2021 01:11

My sickness kicked in on week 9 and it was horrendous. Until then I had no symptoms whatsoever.
Wishing you a happy, healthy pregnancy. Smile

Nat6999 · 10/05/2021 01:20

I was only sick 3 or 4 times over about a month, it started week 5 & had gone by week 9. I never really felt sick, would fancy something to eat, have it & then start with stomach cramps, the runs & be sick, there was no pattern, I could eat something one day & then throw up after the same thing the day after. I lived on Nice biscuits, plain pasta & rice with a dash of soy sauce. I was lucky, my mum was still being sick in labour with me & my brother. The pregnancy I lost at 16 weeks, I felt sick but was never sick.

Nat6999 · 10/05/2021 01:22

I used travel sickness bands, only took them off to have a shower, used to dive in & out & straight back on with the bands.

Sunnysausage · 10/05/2021 01:22

I only felt sick once with one of my three perfectly healthy babies - and I think that was a bug... I didn’t get away scot free as I developed progressive SPD over the three pregnancies, but the first trimester was always fine.
As I had literally zero symptoms, I was convinced going to my first 12 week scan that I must have made a mistake with the test and that there would be nothing there - so was quite shocked when DS1 was there loud and clear and wriggling around!

Hi @dano99 I'm new to this, being pregnant for the first time, so can't offer any wisdom! But just wanted to say hello as I'm 6 weeks 2 days today, so we're almost exactly the same date-wise. Hello Smile

24GinDrinkingOnceTheKidsInBed · 10/05/2021 16:17

I had absolutely no symptoms at all.

My only symptoms I have now are reoccurring headaches.. but she is 16months old and loves to squeal.

firstimemamma · 10/05/2021 16:22

I had absolutely no feeling of sickness or being sick at all throughout my entire pregnancy. I remember reading somewhere that morning sickness affects around 80% of women, so try to relax and tell yourself you're in the lucky 20%! Who knows how true that statistic actually is but if it makes you feel better like it did me then go with it!!

I had a healthy pregnancy. Got a happy and healthy toddler sat on the sofa with me right now Grin

Good luck with everything, it's tough in the first trimester Thanks

shivawn · 10/05/2021 16:32

I only had 2 days of sickness around week 7, in retrospect I think it might have just been a bug or something because it cleared up very quickly and I've had nothing since, I'm 18 weeks now.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 10/05/2021 18:21

I started throwing up at 7+3 and didn't stop until my c-section. Until then I'd had no symptoms at all and didn't even know I was pregnant.

Oh this fills me with so much joy and relief! I hope one day to be typing a similar post reassuring someone else by saying my little one is with me 🙈 - mad to think I'll have one of these small humans sitting on my sofa one day 😂

Thank you all so much for taking the time to reassure me! Means so much I really do feel loads better. Hearing personal experiences really does help blank out all the things I've been over reading on google!

In all honesty, if I hadn't had IVF and it weren't for the missed periods, I wouldn't know I was pregnant until I was about 20 weeks and started to show and feel it kicking. Try not to worry! X
