External Piles at 39 weeks

Hello!

Just looking for some advice and or understanding about this situation down below.

I've had an external pile from about 20 weeks (I've suffered pre pregnancy due to IBS).

However the last few weeks it's grown a lot bigger and I now have a second external pile as well as an internal one.

I use germoloids but it doesn't do much... I'm under no illusion I'm going to get them to go now before birth.

But I'm so terrified of how they will be after or if a tear and it makes them worse!

Any advice for relief or staying positive about labour with these monsters in the way.

Thank you!

Baby bump dropped

Hi there,

I hope you are well and keeping safe.
I was wondering if someone can share their experiences with me to give me some reassurance and answer my query.
My question is- once your baby bump drops, does your baby come within a few weeks (especially if it is your first pregnancy). So even before your full term date?
A little back story, my bump dropped at week 35 and I had my midwife appointment yesterday (currently week 35+4days) where she confirmed that the baby is engaged and in position. My due date is the 1st of June and I wanted to know if it’s likely that the baby will come before that considering all the signs are there? Or can he still arrive on his due date, despite being engaged so early on?
I know this won’t make any sense but I wanted him to be a June baby so I’m praying he either arrives on his due date or anything in June!

Your experiences shared will be appreciated!

Thank you

Zlekha

I had piles when I was pregnant and then had a difficult labour, so I was also expecting my piles to get a lot worse.

It was actually fine, they were obviously aggravated a bit by the labour but they settled down quickly afterwards.

Piles are a lot worse in pregnancy because your blood pressure is raised, causing swelling etc. Once the baby is born it goes back to normal so they will improve much quicker.
