Did you vomit all the way through pregnancy?

Just that really. I'm 18 weeks and have had awful nausea all the way through. I've been admitted to hospital for fluids for 4 days and I'm now taking medication.
I'm so scared of vomiting though and I've got where I'm scared to leave the house unless it's for doctors or hospital apps.
If I was going to vomit do you think it would've happened by now? Anyone else been through anything like this? I'm too anxious to eat and can barely drink.

I did, even in theatre for the (planned) c section. Tried all the types of anti sickness tablets. I stopped eating hot food as they triggered the vomiting more, kept real fruit ice lollies in the freezer for when I needed something a bit more tasteful than water, etc. As soon as she was born, I wasn’t sick again.

I did with the first , with the second I had a small break in the middle for a few weeks . The first one was 28 yrs ago and although I’m sure medication was available I didn’t take any . As well as vomiting I did fairly regular fainting . However at that time I had 4 horses / ponies which I at least had to visit daily so I had a tissue box that I kept tissues and plastic bags in so if I needed to vomit I was prepared . It became a bit like a comfort blanket which I couldn’t let out of my sight and my sister made me some covers for the tissue box - it all got quite amusing . I vomited all through labour with the first , and all through the c section with the second . On both occasions I was being sick by 4 weeks .

yup, pretty much with all of them.

I'm on my second pregnancy, now 31 weeks and haven't vomited once in either of them. I have had the nausea, especially with this pregnancy in the first 3 months but no vomiting. I am emetophobic as well.

With this baby I haven't even had any nausea

Same sex. Two girls

Hi,

Yes! Everyday without fail 🙈 from a week before i knew i was pregnant, up until day of labour too. Would feel sick every afternoon and vomit once a day (at work, in the car, into my lunch bag 🙈 at a hair appointment, anywhere haha)
Milk was my new best friend. Try sucking mints or other boiled sweets too! The usual and very true saying, it's all worth it!

I had HG with my first that pretty much went away at 32 weeks. I only threw up once more in labour.

With this pregnancy I had HG again. I'm 36+3 and I had a couple weeks where it was gone, then it came back again last week and I've started vomiting again and have constant nausea. The joys. Bring on labour.

Yes with HG with my second, from 4+3 right through to the day she was born, with 9 nights in hospital due to it at various stages

Both other pregnancies have had no vomitting or nausea

BiBabbles · 04/05/2021 17:20

Yeah, I started a month or so into the pregnancy and continued on from there, with a couple them I threw up while in labour. With my oldest, I ended up hospitalized after several hours where I was either throwing up or dry heaving - just could not stop retching until I was given some IV fluids.

I gained a loathing of bread (the worst food to bring back up to me) and joked my children would in large part be chocolate milk by the time they were born as it was one of the few things soothing both ways and didn't leave me worried about vomiting.
