Hi all,
I have the aminocentesis procedure booked at this hospital tomorrow. This is my first pregnancy 17 weeks so I don't have much idea about this hospital. Please can you share your reviews or experience that you have had during your pregnancy at this hospital. I have been referred here by the Watford General Hospital. Thank you :)

Hello, im with QC and 31 weeks. I have attended for 3 ultra sounds and a private 3d/4d scan and fasting blood test. You can get 3 scan images for £10. The sonographers have been nice enough and knowledgeable. I tend to have to wait about 30 mins for my scans. The hospital is rated outstanding by CQC.

The online antenatal sessions have been good so far. I have attended a breast feeding session and healthy pelvic floor one. I will start the 5 session PRISM antenatal one in May.
They (midwife) ask you to download their mum and baby app, which i have done. Im not overally impressed though. This is as much as i can say really.
But i would be really keen to know other peoples experiences of giving birth their and whether paying for a private room after birth is worth it. So i will be keeping an eye on your thread Smile

In Hammersmith? It's excellent. The staff are wonderful and caring. It's the place you get referred to for anything complicated in pregnancy eg they do fetal cardiac scanning and monitoring. When I asked a GOSH surgeon where to have our next baby he asked what our choices were and said QCCH without question. I hope that helps and even more important that the procedure goes well and gives you the result you want.

@SantoPalo def worth paying for those private rooms. It's not guaranteed but if you can get one, especially if you have CS, they are fab. Also my insurance paid out some because it was a night that didn't take up a NHS bed.

I had an amniocentesis, several scans and gave birth at Queen Charlotte’s. I had exceptional care there. They are used to dealing with complicated pregnancies and I found the staff to be extremely empathetic. I can’t sing their praises enough. All the best with your amniocentesis.

I had excellent care at QCCH and don't regret at all paying for a private postnatal room. It was glorious.

Hi all, just wanted to share that my amino result has come back normal. I can finally relax nowSmile
I had such a positive experience at Queens. The staff there is so professional and caring. They were so patient with me and at every step during the process starting from scan to amino process, they were just giving me confidence and made me feel so comfortable. This has tempted to change my hospital to QueensGrin. Above all, your feedback about this hospital has been so positive and helpful, many many thanks xx . The only thought that's bothering us that it's about 45 - 60 mins drive away from home. Some.people are saying to me that I should stick with the current hospital as that's close to where i live, but does that really make much of a difference? What do you guys think about it?

Very late to reply but I'd say that's too far away. You don't know how long you'll have in labour. Closer is better provided you feel safe. Glad you're result was ok
