Red book?

Random question, when would I expect to get a red book? Are they still a thing? I'm a first time mum and have been really looking forward to getting one. Had my second midwife appointment today, got my maternity notes in a yellow folder and just wondered if this has replaced the red book x

I've recently found out that some of the birth info in my DD red book doesn't match what's on the hospital computer system, so that's great. I did like having it for the weigh in clinic records and suchlike but they seem to have stopped altogether during covid, who knows if/when they will come back 🤷‍♀️

I was given it the morning after she was born- it has her hearing test sticker on the front still!

I got mine at my 20 week scan - but you don't need it until the baby is here anyway!

I got mine when the health visitor came last month as you need to take it with you to the hospital 😊 x

I'm currently twenty weeks pregnant, was told at my booking appt that i won't be getting a red book with this baby as its gone online now!

I got mine at my 20 week scan at the hospital, she said you usually don't get them till the baby is born, can't actually remember the reason she said their giving them out early now. Must be different in different areas.

The plan is to have them online by April 2023.
