Elective c section vs VB - tell me your stories!

Currently pregnant with baby number 2 and I have been offered a c section at 39 weeks due to a 3rd degree tear and haemorrhage after delivering my first born. I've also been left with coccydynia due to pushing for 2.5 hours which is swaying me to having the c section.

I'm so torn between which route to go down, so many pros and cons to both

Anyone been in a similar situation and have some positive stories?

I have only had c-sections so can't compare to a vaginal delivery however I found all my c-sections positive experiences. Initially it took me a while to get my head around the idea with ds1 but other than that I found the actual delivery calm and DH was able to be involved.

The recovery took a while but with the right pain killers and taking it slow but steady it wasn't too difficult. With ds3 I had a 4 year old and a 2 year old and I was buying a washing machine in curry's the day after I came out of hospital!

I had 3 good VB's. Longest I've had to push was 15 mins and that was our 10lb 12oz big boy. Worst damage from vb was a 3rd degree tear with the 3rd who had a big head and came faster than expected.
I had elcs with breech twins last time though. I was terrified as all I'd heard was how hard it was to recover. Tbh I now think they were all just being dramatic as mine was an easy recovery despite my wound getting infected. Undecided on vbac or ercs this time, have until 36wk to decide and only 22wk atm.
