Really struggling

I'm 10w preg with twins and am struggling really badly with morning sickness ... nausea 24/7, dry wretching, feeling weak & lethargic, not sleeping well ... the list goes on. I've got a prescription for Clyclizine but have only taken 2 tablets as my consultant told me to only take them if I was really bad. Please, someone tell me it will get better soon. DH is being a star and keeping the house running, children entertained and is more than tolerant of the fact that everytime he looks around, I'm lying down. I feel so down and despondent at a time when I ought to be happy & excited. This is a real 'woe is me' post but does anyone have any words of wisdom? TIA

i have reposted in another thread but i am onmy 2nd pregnancy the 1st one was a nightmare was sick the whole way through absolout hell i was in and out hospital more times than anythin

i fould out the reason was my B12 was really low only found this out after the birth

i am now due baby 2 and i have been really sick but not as bad as it was i am now 24 weeks and seams to have stopped

maybe you should ask your gp to check your B12 levels in ur next blood test u will need to ask as they dont check this with the routine blood count

hope this may help or make sense

Aww Millie, I completely sympathise with you as I also suffered horrendously with MS from 8 weeks to 19 weeks. I am now 19+4 and have just started to feel better. I know it doesn't feel like it just now but it does get a bit better.

The tiredness though has not gone away for me and I really struggle with it.

You are entitled to feel down and "woe is me" - I certainly did and my poor husband was driven mad with me complaining. You have to rest as much as you can, use family & friends a lot and try to keep your eye on the end result.

I didn't really feel any better doing the above but can't really suggest much else.

Millie, I know it might sound obvious, but make sure you keep your water intake up. I found that the worse I felt the less I wanted to drink, but it just made it worse.
And don't feel bad about feeling miserable and complaining. You're doing an amazing job growing 2 little babies and you deservce to take as much rest as you can!
Hope you start to feel lots better soon.
xx

Oh lots of sypathy from me i was terribly poorly with ms when pregnant with dd, i used to have to lay in my bed for alot of the day, i was so ill i would be rolling around crying, funny thing was i was never actually sick just the feeling, it was awful.

I was told a flat can of coke or ginger biscuits were good.

Mine eased by 16 weeks, it was so hard though because i had ds to look after he used to have to play in my bedroom after he came home from nursery.

Thanks for the sympathy everyone ... I've spent most of the day lying on the couch although did a bit of ironing ... wow! Too true about the fluid intake, feedmenow, it's so hard to drink when you feel this bad. I've been very bad with water today but have had two cups of hot chocolate . Thanks again ... it would be nice to have a definitive end date for it - my fear is that with it being twins it will go on and on and on - ugh!
