i am genuinely just curious but i know old wives tales are just in fact old wives tales 😂 but it does make me wonder do people have similar pregnancy's for both genders or do they differ? i'm convinced i'm having another boy because my pregnancy is so similar to my first! would love to hear if they are! Smile

I think it's so hard to tell because every pregnancy can be different just in general.
I have a boy and a girl and currently 40 weeks with another girl. If anything, comparing the pregnancies, this one and my sons were the most similar

I have a boy and a girl and currently 6 weeks pregnant. My son I had almost zero symptoms the whole 9 months and my daughter I was sick every day from about 10 weeks pretty much whole way through. I’m not sure if it was the sex of the baby that made the pregnancies so different but they were VERY different for me.

PotteringAlong · 06/04/2021 17:37

I had 3 boys and 3 very different pregnancies!

Worriesome · 06/04/2021 17:44

@Butterflyy20 I’m having awfully bad nausea with this one and also did with my previous two. Previous two were girls and I suspect this one is too. I will be absolutely shocked if it’s not x

I have 3 boys and 2 girls. I thought all of them seemed different but my husband and my mum guessed the gender from when I was about 3 months gone. Apparently the bump grew different (high up for the boys and going round the sides for girls) I looked the same but they were right every time, my mum said she was the same.

Sprockerdilerock · 06/04/2021 17:48

I was convinced I was having a boy because of all the old wives tales. Found out this morning its actually a girl. Sonographer said there isnt much weight in any of the 'tells'. So I'd say it could go either way!

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 06/04/2021 17:51

Mine were, I have 8 dc. 5 girls 3 boys. All the girls gave me migraines, the boys gave me horrendous heartburn. I think it's unusual though.

Sceptre86 · 06/04/2021 18:21

I have a dd and ds, there were some differences in that with dd I carried low and spread out, whereas with ds it was high up and very round. With dd I would get full very quickly but with ds I was ravenous. I was sick very little with both. I was dizzy with both but had headaches with dd only. I had swelling at the end with both.

This pregnancy I have had no sickness at all but some nausea, have had many headaches, nose bleeds and indigestion (I have never had this in a previous pregnancy), my bump is high up, round and very neat at 19 weeks. I therefore have no idea what sex it is and will be guessing right up until it arrives.

ComDummings · 06/04/2021 18:22

I have had 1 boy and 1 girl and my pregnancies were very much the same.

Hufflepuffsunite · 06/04/2021 18:29

I have 2 boys and had 2 very different pregnancies

Mylasmummy2102 · 06/04/2021 18:33

I've had 2 girls already pregnancies weren't to bad apart from sickness but nothing major!! But OMG this one with a boy has been awful sickness sciatica, low lying placenta, bleeding is definitely say mine were different but some people are the same x

Jchina · 06/04/2021 18:40

I’m having my third boy and was MUCH sicker and more exhausted with my second, and was very big. My first was easy but showed quite early, and this one just bouts of nausea and barely showing at 21w. All very different. But all boys! Smile

PurpleFlower1983 · 06/04/2021 20:26

I was convinced I was having a girl because my pregnancy is the same - he’s a boy!

Butterflyy20 · 06/04/2021 20:34

so interesting! so maybe it's just random for each gender Grin i could literally write mine as being the same! only difference is i'm showing a lot earlier and my sickness was for the same amount of weeks but all day instead of just in the morning with my son. will be interesting to see Smile

With both of mine the old wives tales were true lol.

With DS I had a very easy pregnancy, felt a bit nauseous in first tri but that was it. Tons of energy, shiny hair, clear glowing skin. Craved sour and salty foods, everything tasted too sweet - I even had to put lemon in my water. I also craved radishes, sushi and Babybel - and meaty things like hamburgers. Leg hair grew faster than normal. Put on no weight apart from bump, boobs didn't grow.

With DD I was horrendously sick in the first tri and literally so exhausted I slept all night and all day for the first six weeks. I felt freezing all the time. Skin broke out on my face and shoulders. Leg and eyebrow hair stopped growing. Hair was thick and shiny but got greasy fast. Craved things like banana bread and chocolate trifle, went off meat. Gained weight everywhere, boobs got a lot bigger.

Quail15 · 06/04/2021 20:47

Both pregnancies more or less the same. Same awful sickness lasting well into the second trimester, same awful heartburn. The only difference is that I'm more tired with this one - but I'm 3 years older and I have a toddler to chase around this time. Girl with my 1st pregnancy and a boy this time.

Butterflyy20 · 06/04/2021 20:55

@georgarina funny you say that i brought a massive bag of babybels today! Hmm pretty certain this baby is a boy too!

There’s no evidence in it. My first boy pregnancy was a dream, no sickness, slept well and felt fine. This pregnancy is another boy and couldn’t be more different! I’ve had every symptom going and not enjoyed it this time at all...

TuvoknotSpock · 06/04/2021 21:05

Both pregnancies the same and I have a girl and boy
