How on earth do some mothers stay so slim and neat throughout pregnancy and after birth??
I'm 5ft 3 and weigh 11 and a half stone.
This is my typical weight and I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child.
All I seem to see is new mums with slim faces and glammed up after birth😬 is it just me??
Also has anyone used the company Patpat to order baby clothes and did you find them good or not?

It is no failure to put on pregnancy weight. I was underweight when I fell pregnant with my first baby. I put on a lot of weight and then lost it all afterwards, very quickly, thanks to sepsis. Was that an achievement? Nope.

With second baby I felt sick every waking minute for 9 months. The only thing that relieved it - slightly - was eating. So I ate and ate and put on loads again. It took closer to a year for it all to come off again - was that a failure? Nope.

I can’t stand sneery “I don’t/won’t eat for two” comments. Lots of women feel ravenously hungry or, like me, sick if they don’t eat. Or can’t eat healthily because of sickness/vomiting, or can’t move much because of SPD.

I lose weight in my pregnancies I lost 3 stone with my first, 2 stone with my second and 3 stone with my last taking me down to a size 10. Within a few months it's all back and more. I honestly think it's the sickness and I don't seem to have an appetite my cravings have always been toilet cleaner or bleach Confused.

I put on weight in the first trimester because I felt so sick and had to eat carbs constantly... but after that my appetite genuinely didn’t increase.
Later on I had to eat slightly smaller meals because my stomach just felt squished all the time by the baby.
I started at 10 stone and have put on 1.5 stone, so I’m guessing most of that is baby and fluid... my face definitely looks puffy though.

I'd like to know this as with my first I gained 22kg and with second only 16kg but I hadn't lost much from the first pregnancy. I'm short so it shows.
This pregnancy I'm very early so no sickness yet although it always kicks in at 9 weeks and j haven't been craving anything yet. I'm still doing weight training whereas last 2 babies I didn't exercise at all so I sincerely hope I don't gain as much

PatPat is really crap quality, don't bother.

I don't really put on body fat when pregnant, but I do get a massive bump from really early on. And I am physically bigger this pregnancy than my last one as I noticed my maternity jeans I found really comfy last time are now unbearably tight! I haven't done anything special, I eat what I feel like eating, including 2 dinners if I want two. I don't get massively sick, it's just the way my body seems to grow. I will likely get a bit rounder in the face right at the end if it's the same as last time.

I had a 10 year gap between DS1 and DS2 and it's been lovely :) Now pregnant with DS3.

I think some people just pregnant well. Some of us don't. I put on so much weight with both pregnancies. I wasn't able to exercise as much as I'd like during pregnancy and I craved chocolate orange ....

On the subject of pat pat, don't touch them with a barge pole. Sizing is wrong. Impossible to send back, had to fight to get my money back from them. All positive reviews online are paid for.

I've just checked and I've put on about 5kg and I'm 20 weeks.

My notes say I put on 17kg in total last time. 4kg by 20 weeks.

I was 3kg heavier starting out this time.
