Hi

I am 5+5 today based on LMP (although think I’m more 5+3 based on ovulation). I did a CB digital on 28th March and it showed 2-3. I did another CB digital on 3rd April and it had gone back to 1-2. I tried to use FMU however had been up for a wee twice during the night (last one about 2 hours before I did the test) and also drank a whole glass of water during the night. I’m having normal early pregnancy symptoms (fatigue, sore boobs, feeling a bit nauseous) and no cramps or spotting. Scared to take another CB digital in case it hasn’t gone back up to 2-3/3+. I’m now very anxious and expecting the worst 😫 anyone had anything similar happen to them?

You pretty much answered your own question with the peeing in the night and drinking.

They're not very accurate, they're just a rough guide.

The symptoms you have also don't mean anything unfortunately. They're no indication on the viability of a pregnancy.

I would guess you diluted it with the pint of water you drank. I would don’t worry but that’s easier said than done.

There is no test that can tell you if this pregnancy is going as planned. This is the worst part waiting till 12 weeks scan. If you are really worried you can book an early private scan however these sometimes arent worth the stress if something doesn’t match date wise etc.

If you search this site, or the web in general, you'll find hundreds, if not thousands of women having the same experience with the CB tests, it's extremely common for the weeks to change up and down and 99% of the time there is nothing to worry about and all turns out well. I would suggest stop doing the tests, try and relax, and enjoy your pregnancy!

Also I understand anxiety in pregnancy, but I find repeating the mantra 'statistically, the most likely outcome is a healthy baby' helps me when I start to worry about something!
