Morning sickness

I am 4 weeks tomorrow. I found out I was pregnant on Tuesday, and Wednesday morning I woke up dry heaving and every morning since. Is it too early to have morning sickness? I can't tell if I'm just anxious or if it's actually beginning this early.

Also would love some tips and tricks for morning sickness since this is my first rodeo!

Mine started around the same time. Although it only lasted 2 weeks and never came back

@LadyBillyBon that would be amazing I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that 🤞🏼

My Wife is now 39 weeks and her sickness has been all throughout her pregnancy, day and night. It's our first rodeo too. Not long now and she won't have it anymore 🤞
Best wishes for a smooth pregnancy

Congratulations! Not too early unfortunately haha.

My main tip would be to try vitamin B6 supplements - they're been a lifesaver for me.

Also, eat something small as soon as you wake up - something inoffensive like a crumpet, toast or digestive biscuit.

Eat small things regularly throughout the day - even if food is the last thing I want, eating something bland will generally help the nausea.

And if something sounds good, eat it - but don't stock up because that thing might make you feel sick the next day!

Above all remember it doesn't last forever. Try to rest as much as possible and feel better soon!

@LadyBillyBon mine only lasted 2 weeks too, although it was in weeks 6 and 7. I had extreme fatigue alongside it, things got dramatically better from there.

Mine doesn’t usually start that early. I’m 6 weeks at the moment and although I’ve been feeling very nauseous when I wake up I just take a sip of flat ginger beer and that settles my tummy straight away. All the best

Mind started this early and carried on until birth, the joys of HG!

First thing in the morning, don’t move your head off the pillow or even sit up. Get a cracker etc and eat that laying down. Give yourself a few minutes then sit up.

If you start to struggle with most foods or water get to the doctors for meds, the quicker they are in your system the less chance you will end up in hospital on a drip.

Eat what you fancy when you fancy it, I loved Burger King and kfc, try not to worry about nutrition and just focus on getting some calories in you.

It definitely can start that early! Mine started about a week after that, I'm nearly 33 weeks now (and not to scare you), it's lasted the full time so far. The bad daily vomiting stopped at about 20 weeks and from there it was bad nausea with vomiting maybe once/twice a day (which felt like such a relief after how much I had been).

If it gets worse and you're struggling with it, give the GP a phone
