Hi guys,
Not sure ive posted in the right place because im not yet pregnant but this is a pregnancy thing 🙂
Last year i had a PUL/ectopic treated with methotrexate and now am on cycle 2 ttc. Ive seen on other forums that people are getting hcg betas early on but these seem to be mostly american based sites. Can it be requested here in the UK? Ive not had any bloods taken previously until the midwife appointment from what i remember apart from my PUL but having bloods done would really help my anxiety before my early scan, just to know things are going as they should be.

Any experience or knowledge about this would be really appreciated, just need that piece of mind when the time comes 🙂

Shouldn't things like this be done under the supervision of your midwife or a medical professional?

I understand the anxiety but getting additional tests can make it worse and often leads to more anxiety which isn't great for you.

Unless there is concerns on the actual pregnancy, no, they won't do the tests or they would be doing multiple blood tests for people and it'd be a waste of time and money
