Hello,

Sorry to post a new thread out of the blue. I recently found out I am pregnant, approximately three weeks ago. I suspect I’m around 8 weeks pregnant. However I didn’t have quite long and often irregular cycles. For the last 4 weeks or so I have had quite strong symptoms such as nausea, some vomiting, headsaches, nipple pain, fatigue, thirst etc. However, over the last 48 hours or so, I have really noticed a decrease in symptoms. I still get very mild nausea but no where near as much, and I also find my boobs are itchy not sore. It just feels like my symptoms have turned off overnight and I just not sure if I should call my doctor?

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Thanks in advance :) sorry I’m just getting myself so worked up- I don’t know what to do

Emma

Symptoms don't mean anything. They come and go.
I've only ever had sore boobs which go day to day and sometimes don't return for weeks at a time.

You are also 8 weeks and your placenta is slowly starting to take over.

Symptoms have no indication of your pregnancy.
Even if you were to miscarry, your HCG levels will still be just as high the next day to give the same symptoms.

It's normal.
Your doctor will not do anything as it's normal and doesn't mean anything

Hello!
So I’m 8 weeks pregnant with baby #2. My 1st baby (he’s not even 1 so I remember it clearly) I was SO SICK the whole pregnancy, tender breasts etc. With this pregnancy I had really bad nausea from week 4-6.5 when all my symptoms basically vanished overnight. Literally didn’t feel pregnant. I also had severe cramping and some spotting. I ended up calling the doctor who booked me an appointment at the early pregnancy centre and a scan today showed everything was good.

Mild nausea is definitely a good sign. Your body could just be getting use to the more severe symptoms. I’d definitely call the doctors if you’re feeling anxious.

Hi! I don't have all the knowledge in the world but I know with my miscarriage my symptoms went completely... and I mean completely disappeared! Felt just like normal again. Then I started bleeding.
If there's no blood, try not to worry. It's reassuring you have symptoms still even if they aren't as full on. I am also about 8 weeks now and my symptoms are definitely coming and going. I must say I am probably just as worried as you but just trying to stay positive and what will be, will be! The odds are in your favour Thanks

Totally understand, OP. I used to stress about my symptoms coming and going. Hated feeling sick but felt worse when it went! It's awful.

Details of your post are nearly identical to my best friend just a few months ago! Strong symptoms in the first couple of weeks which seemed to ease off massively around week 7. She was extremely anxious, googling constantly and unable to enjoy the pregnancy. Now 7 months and all fine!

I think some women are just lucky and don't suffer with symptoms for as long - maybe your body has simply adapted to the hormones. Just try to remember the stats are in your favour, I'm sure it'll be fine Smile

Thank you for all your replies. I’m trying my best not to worry, I just spent a lot of time on Sunday being upset I felt so rotten with nausea and then Monday woke up and it had all gone ... careful what I wish for....

I might try speaking to my doctor tomorrow- my first scan is booked on 21st so she might advise to wait I’m not sure.

It’s a relief to hear other people have been in similar situations. Thank you allFlowers

Hello @SnooperTrooper12345

This is very useful to know. Thank you. I know I shouldn’t Google or worry too much, it’s just a bit of minefield and it’s my first ever pregnancy so feeling a bit overwhelmed. Smile

During my first pregnancy early on I remember at around 8/9 weeks all symptoms stopped completely and I couldn't stop crying. I ended up having a scan and everything was fine (IVF baby so my first scan was a viability one at 6 weeks). A few weeks later I started to have horrendous nausea and exhaustion that lasted all day, disappeared for about 3 weeks at 14 weeks, then returned for the rest of my pregnancy!

I know it's hard but try not to worry, and just embrace the fact you're pregnant and feel 'normal' at present because it could all change quickly! Grin

I saw on a thread on here that not having your period is the main symptom, and that's given me so much comfort when my symptoms have been varying

20viona · 31/03/2021 06:23

Symptoms mean nothing I had zero for 25 weeks until I got heartburn and a tiny bump appeared.

ChangingStates · 31/03/2021 06:32

Mine also really reduced around that time, was a few years ago so can't remember exactly but definitely a few weeks before the 12 week scan. Convinced myself it was a missed miscarriage. Had an early scan and everything was fine, rest of the pregnancy was a breeze. Hope the same for you op.

@Ems2111 I’ve been the same. I’m 9w. I’ve had lots of symptoms, but nothing major ( nausea but no vomiting.) I had cramps like I was about to start a period until about 6.5 weeks. Cried that I thought I was losing the baby. Then when they settled cried that they’d gone so that was a bad sign. Hate feeling sick, but then got upset when it stopped. I’ve had a week with not much. Then this week the pain and nausea is back so worrying again.
It’s a crazy time but I think that’s all normal 🤯🤞
