Are birth partners allowed again?

Everything I'm reading is conflicting and I can't seem to find a straight answer!

Are you allowed a birth partner for labour currently due to the pandemic? Or do you have to be alone?

I had my son in November and was allowed a birth partner. As far as I know most places allow one birth partner it's if you want two that you might not be allowed. Rules do seem to vary lot though from hospital to hospital

You've always been allowed a birth partner, they just can't be with you until admitted to labour ward, generally when you are around 4cm dialated and it active labour. You're encouraged to stay at home until that point anyway so no need to be alone. I was induced in December so my husband had to leave after the actual induction process, so I laboured on my own for a bit but he came back once I went to central delivery.

Contact your local hospital. Rules have changed recently where I’m due to give birth and partners can be there for induction now as well.

Think it depends on hospital. Here you can have a partner for everything, scans, inductions, labour, even blood tests. Check your hospitals FB page.

It was a very rare occasion for people to have to give birth alone. It just seemed more common because it was being reported in the news.
You've always been allowed a birth partner but most of the time they weren't allowed until you were in active Labour.

You'd have to contact your own hospital as every one is different.
I know some are still only allowing this where as others are allowing a birth partner the whole time
