Clear blue weeks not progressing - I don’t feel pregnant

Hi everyone,

Just wondered if anyone could help, I’ve been desperately searching for positive threads but sadly most I’ve seen end in miscarriage.

I’m 5 weeks and 4 days (according to ovulation) and stupidly took the other Clear blue weeks indicator at 5 weeks and it’s been stuck on 2-3 weeks ever since (I’ve been madly testing each day since), I even resorted to breaking the thing open and checking the line progression (and they all are the same!!)

Scaring me even more that I don’t have any nausea or tiredness.. I just have an increased heart rate and slightly tender boobs. I haven’t had pain (more than twinges and little odd cramps now and then) and no spotting or bleeding, in fact, I wouldn’t even know I was pregnant if it wasn’t for the tests.

Freaking out.. I know only time will tell but does anyone have any experience? I’m holding out for 6 weeks, that’s my very scary cut off

Thank you, ally x

Oh, it really is an awful feeling and it’s very difficult to step away, it can feel like the only way of knowing what is going on but truly, I don’t think they are very accurate. It seems there’s quite a lag with urine Hcg levels vs blood levels. In my case, I think I stopped testing just before 6 weeks but even then, I didn’t miscarry for another 2.5/3 weeks so again, I don’t think they were accurate tests as my Hcg was likely a bit higher than the test read to last that extra time.

It’s easy to say “don’t test again” but I do understand. I have to say, I stopped partly as I felt calmer not knowing a result, accurate or not!

Great to have the scan booked for 8 weeks, that’s a good milestone to keep in mind when tempted to test. But don’t feel bad if you do test again, it’s hard.

Sending lots of positive thoughts your way and hope you’re ok xx

Ps, at 5 weeks 4 days, you’re very much on the borderline of the 3+ especially when you factor in the lag with urine Hcg and how Hcg rises every few days it’s still early. Lots of people reassured me that it often didn’t change until well after 6 weeks or ever for some.

@Allybiscuits Thank you so much for your help. I think I'll maybe wait until after the weekend and see how I feel. I still have symptoms so I guess I need to try and relax until I get to my scan.

Hope your pregnancy is going well. Do you know what you're having?

Allybiscuits · 20/01/2022 20:28

Good plan and its great that you have symptoms too, if you can try to relax and reassess after the weekend that’s wonderful. Is it an nhs or private scan booked? And is it your first pregnancy?

Thank you, we are having a little boy. It’s been quite a ride so far but feeling very grateful

It's a private scan I just can't hold out until the NHS one.

No it's not I have a wee boy who is 2.5 you would never think I had done this before. Blush
Congratulations that's very exciting. So glad everything is going well for you now you absolutely deserve it after all that stress!

Allybiscuits · 20/01/2022 22:55

Oh that’s great, I did the same with a scan at 8 weeks with this pregnancy.

Oh a wee boy! How lovely! These babies are so precious I doubt it ever gets easier with the worry...

Best of luck and congratulations to you too, just have to sit tight and relax (as best you can!!) xx

I've just had this.

1 week ago it said 2-3 weeks.
This morning it's the same.

I'm gutted as I have no symptoms at all. Now fearing the worst 😕

Emily199034 · 21/01/2022 08:07

I'm 24 weeks pregnant now and I didn't really feel any pregnancy symptoms till around 7-8 weeks. I was never sick in my whole pregnancy. Its easier said than done but try now to worry. Everyones body is different.

Allybiscuits · 21/01/2022 09:10

That’s very true, I didn’t have symptoms with this pregnancy until after 8 weeks or so. Even if they do arrive, they tended to fluctuate with me too which is very unsettling but shows they aren’t reliable either.. !

Everyone Hcg levels are so different too, it’s quite reassuring to look at how massive the normal range is per week to see how much they vary.

Hoping this little one sticks for you xx

Thank you both so much, it's really reassuring to hear that.

MyloC · 22/01/2022 14:20

Just to update the thread I tested again this morning and it says 3+. I'm 5 + 6 today. Obviously I know it doesn't mean everything's ok but I feel better for now.
Thank you for your support.

Allybiscuits · 22/01/2022 15:44

Oh how lovely to hear, really pleased and hope it has helped put your mind at ease a little
