No movements at 24 weeks - should I worry?

Hi ladies

Could I have your thoughts please? I'm 24+1 with an anterior placenta and am not feeling any movements. 20+1 week scan showed all was well and baby was kicking (and measuring at 21 weeks) - the sonographer was very surprised that I wasn't feeling it and said I would 'any day now '. At 21 weeks I had a wobble as still wasn't feeling anything so called the community midwife who did (reluctantly) come out and listen with a doppler, said all was fine and that I shouldn't expect to feel anything other than light flutters before 25 weeks - basically made me feel like I had wasted her time. Fast forward to now and I'm still feeling nothing. I did feel some light bumps and flutters a few evenings last week and felt very relieved, assuming it would get stronger, but now there's been nothing at all for several days again so I'm now doubting that those were baby and not just wind. I've tried drinking cold drinks and lying quietly on my side, etc. Should I be worried or is this normal? Next MW appointment isn't for a week and a half but I don't want to call and be made to feel like a time waster again.

If it's relevant my last pregnancy was twins with one anterior placenta and I felt regular movements from 21 weeks.
Thanks for reading xxx

I have an anterior placenta and it was around 24 weeks that I started to feel small flutters etc. When the movements were very small I could only feel them really if I was lying on my front or back with my hands pressed against my uterus.

It's impossible not to worry but it is pretty normal to have regular movements much later with an anterior placenta.
If you only felt regular movements from twins at 21 weeks I wouldn't expect to get the same with a singleton until at least 4 weeks later than that. Don't feel like a burden for asking the midwife to check to set your mind at ease though.

Thanks for taking the time to reply ladies. This afternoon I had a really large amount of watery discharge which, in conjunction with the lack of movements, worried me enough that I called the MW. I got a different MW this time who was totally different to the last one, was at my house within 10 minutes and found a good strong HB straightaway. She didn't make me feel like a time waster at all and was so helpful, said that she thinks baby is facing my back and kicking backwards which is why I can't feel him. Feeling much better now 😊
