Hospital wear

I am 29 weeks pregnant and planning on packing my hospital back soon. Could you give me any recommendations on pyjamas and dressing gowns? Do they still need to be maternity ones with a space for a big belly? also I’m assuming front buttons for feedings ? How many of them and what’s the best place to get them from?
Thanks !

Boohoo have cheapy ones. Asda have ‘post surgery’ ones which fit the bill.

I've always just bought nighties in a couple of bigger sizes.
Usually ones that are lower cut or with buttons if I planned on breastfeeding.
No need to pay the extra for a 'maternity' one. They see. To wack extra price on them just because they are

I had nighties with buttons, but needed a catheter for 2 days so it covered a bit more than a pj top would.

I bought a maternity nightdress and dressing gown off boohoo for £25 wasn't to bad a price it will do for after birth aswell for a few weeks so I'll get the use out of it

I was told to take thin layers as it would be boiling... ward after birth was so thin nighties were great as they were just easy.
I wore the pj's once home.

The ward I had to stay on before baby came was freezing. Only sheets on the beds and all I had was a thin carry and a coat 😕

Be prepared!

I liked the nursing nighties with popper fronts, used to get them from mothercare but going to have to find another shop.
1 per night should be fine as you can hike it up in bed incase of any leaks. PJ bottoms end up getting bloody so not worth the bother. Any dressing gown will do but it will need to be 1 - 2 sizes larger than your usual as your belly remains quite swollen for a while.
It is very warm in hospital so you'll not want to be wearing too much. Don't forget to take some comfy slippers.
