Hi has anyone experienced brown/pink or red spotting after subchorionic hematoma has been resolved?

I had been diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma since week 5 i am now 11 week i had an private ultrasound done the sonographer he can't see a hematoma.

I guess if he can't see it it's been resolved.

I have had brown / pink and red spotting since. Has anyone else experienced this?

Can you please share you stories?

i am really scared as i have had a previous miscarriage and a termination of pregnancy due to fetal abnormality.

please share your story

I can totally understand how scared you are. Flowers

How many days/weeks are you since your private scan? How long have you been spotting? Do you feel it is more red blood or brown blood now?

I had a large subchorionic hematoma and had to be put on bed rest for 13 weeks until my 20 week scan, just due to the sheer amount of blood I lost. I am sure I was still spotting after that but it was not the bright red bleed that got me sent to the hospital in the middle of the night (I couldn't stop bleeding) but more brown blood which they said was reassuring.

I had a subchorionic hematoma and I remember them saying brown blood is fine as it was basically 'old blood', though I did tend to have more problems (red blood) around the time my period would have been.

I had bleeding (off and on) almost my entire pregnancy. At 20 weeks, I was diagnosed with a low lying placenta which also causes red bleeding.

My nerves were shot to pieces the whole pregnancy. I was pretty scared for the whole 40 weeks that I would lose her - but she made it - we made it, and possibly because of what we went through to get her I think she is the perfect thing to ever exist.

Make sure you have a friend to talk to, it's scary and you it's better if you don't have to worry alone.

@Dhano21 subchorionic hematomas (SH) can be difficult to spot due to how it presents so even though the private scan said they couldn't see anything it does not mean that it has resolved. It can be mistaken for several other things. It is also found in only 3-11% of all pregnancies which is why you probably aren't getting lots of responses.

Are you booked in for a 12 week scan? I would ask about it then.

I do agree with farmers you will no doubt worry through your pregnancy no matter what due to your previous miscarriage. Flowers But I will tell you that my SH was huge, I haemorrhaged and had to wait 2 days for a scan in case it was a vaginal scan and I needed to not be bleeding. I was 7+ something. My SH was considered "large" as it was over 50% size of the sac so the odds were stacked against me due to size and how early on it formed. I was put on immediate bed rest luckily at home, but was told no sex, no orgasms, no picking up my toddler, don't do anything. Hell but worth it.

That pregnancy is now a 15 year old strapping teen. There is always hope. All you can do is wait for your 12 week scan, talk to them about the SH and see if it has resolved, look after yourself and rest as much as possible.
