Looking for advice more than anything ! Bit of back round this is my 2nd pregnancy and 2nd c section both planned while I was pregnant with my first I ended up ill with what they though was blood clots on my lungs they gave me two blood clot jabs in to my stomach and they were the most painful things ever.! Turned out not to be blood clots and it was a growth on my lung got it sorted and that was fine fast forward to 1st c section they told me like everyone else I would have to get 10 days worth of injections for blood clots I refused after how painful the first lot were I got one jag in the side of my leg straight after c section so couldn’t feel it ! And didn’t take the jags home they said it was at my risk but it was fine so it all went fine and nothing came of it I don’t a lot of walking and moving around just to be safe ! This time round I have been diagnosed with a new on set disability witch is really effecting my movement and walking so I know it’s best I take them this time round , but when I say I’m scared stiff it’s an understatement ! Like after the first time I don’t know how I can do it ? Any advice on how to reduce the pain of the jags ??? Did everyone take all ten ? Please help

Took a lot more than 10 .. 245 last pregnancy.

They do stop hurting eventually. I did mine in my tummy and found it was less painful there (although some prefer thighs).
Tips that helped me:
Ice before you inject.
Inject slowly.
Don’t rub afterwards!

Good luck x

My
Last pregnancy as I had a clot in my leg and on my lung had to do 12 weeks worth after the c section too x

Also I done mine on top of thigh and pinched it so it didn't sting as bad you get used to them first ones nippy as hell but you get used to them over time x

Try doing them in tummy. Inserting slowly in a fatty bit of flesh.

I had them after cesarean last term pregnancy, I'd done them on hubby with a broken leg when I was pregnant too. I was told to do mine in my belly, I didn't find them painful and I didn't get bruising.
This pregnancy they want me on them from 28wk to 6wk after birth as I'm classed high risk for clots. I have an active lifestyle with 5 kids, a dog and 2 gym sessions a week but will still take them.
