Maternity bra

I'm 8+2 and really noticing how tight my bra has become. Can anyone recommend any maternity bras and how to size them. Do you size up back and cup?

As you're quite early on in your pregnancy I would recommend getting either something cheap (as you'll likely change in another few weeks!) Or something multi-sized. I got some bras from Molke after recommendations on here, they cover a range of back/cup sizes.

As an example, a 32C is similar in cup size to a 34B. If the cup feels like it fits but the back doesn't, going down a letter and up a number should give a similar fit. Going to a 34C might feel a bit big to start with but as your boobs are likely to grow too so it might make the bra last a bit longer. Wire-free bras I've noticed generally tend to cover a range of cup sizes and tend to be more comfortable while pregnant and during nursing too!

I need help in this area too... I've been having back pain since Christmas so carrying baby boobs with a bra that clasps right where my sore bits are is no good.

Has anyone found bras that support from lower? Or am I doomed to be bra-less the duration of my pregnancy? 😳

Boob or bust website allows you to measure and size yourself.

You can get bra extenders which will increase the back size on existing bras with hooks too.

Another one recommending measuring yourself using the boob or bust method and bear in mind you're likely to increase in size again later in the pregnancy too. Stretchy bras that cover a range of sizes will be more economical (wish I had known this before I was about to pop with no.1 and been through three lots of bras!!). Brands like Cake and Emma Jane but also bralets.

Echo above advice, get a cheap one for now. I was 32C pre pregnancy, not sure what actual size am now (I bought morrow and mint bralettes so xs/s etc sizing). Bought my new bras when I was about 15 weeks pregnant and now at 20 weeks I feel like I need to go up a size again. Then Mum said she needed bigger again when her milk came in. So I'm going to try and wait out until shops open and just buy some primark cheap bralettes then buy more morrow and mint ones when my milk comes in (they're so pretty and so comfy).

Does anyone know where to get cheap larger maternity bras from. Currently a 34f/ff and the underwires are getting uncomfortable!!! Iv had a google search but they all just come in small/medium/large so the size confuses me... I had a look in my local supermarket but even the large looked like the cup would hardly cover a nipple! The extra large was looking promising but the band looked too big! 😂😂🙈🙈 x

@ExcitingTimes2021 I'm currently 37 weeks and a 34h. I did manage one successful purchase through nursing bra-shop.co.uk. Really easy to do returns too (even with boob or bust some styles just won't suit!!).

@ExcitingTimes2021 I am 32g and although have not increased in size (18 weeks pregnant now) I have found my underwire uncomfortable and I have got some great bralettes which are non wired from marks and Spencer. They are £20 and have elasticated structured cups so support without the pain
