Out of interest, when did you fall pregnant again after your elcs or emcs?

Got pregnant Exactly a year after emcs. Everything went absolutely fine with my ecs on DC2 in 2017 and will have a third ecs later this year with DC3 🥰

6 months and all went well.

3 years - had emcs with first, and elective is on Monday! Had an awful lot of scar pain (have had lots of adhesions and issues with scar pre pregnancy), but now at 36 weeks my scar feels great and no issues.

After my section with dd I fell pregnant at 6 months ( not planned). After ds I waited till he was just over 3 years old to try again. My scar healed well after dd but took a little longer after ds. I am 16 weeks pregnant and it is fine so far, the numbness there has never gone away and the scar doesn't bother me much to look at.

Interesting! Congratulations to those of you currently pregnant. Did anyone/is anyone trying for a vbac or did you elect?

I’ve elected for a section:

I had a crash section under GA with my first - I can’t guarantee a successful VBAC and want to be awake to see this one be born.

But we’d have ended up a c section anyway as

  1. baby is stubbornly breech
  2. the placenta is going awol again (which it did with my first and why we nearly lost him), so they’re taking no chances and delivering by section at 37 weeks. I seem to make shitty placentas haha! Baby estimated to be 5lb ish when born

2 years after EMCS & was on contraception,
5 years after ELCS & was ttc for 4 years.
