Iv made a thread before about movement with an anterior placenta a few weeks back that i hadnt had any movement, im now 23 weeks and for about 2ish weeks iv felt the same sensation below my bellybutton in the morning and then around dinner time, in the last week its started happening throughout the day aswell, its like a tapping feeling/fish moving about my tummy, i know it probably is but would you say this is me now feeling baby?

@xoxochellexoxo I have an anterior placenta and my experience is quite different, but I don’t know what’s normal as this is my first. I’m 19+6 and from about 16 weeks I’ve been able to feel kicks, but I never felt any flutters or him rolling or turning etc. All I feel are the kicks, and they’ve got stronger and more frequent over the weeks. I just assumed because of my placenta being at the front I only feel the stronger movements, although sometimes I feel ‘pressure’ which I think is possibly him turning. Hopefully someone else will have experienced movement in the same way as you. I think even with an anterior placenta movements can feel different as maybe depends on whether it’s high or low etc x

@MintGreenLife this is my first so i have nothing to compare it too, the midwife seems to think this is movement but im just not sure, shes told me to keep an eye on these "movements" and that if i stop feeling them iv to call her

@xoxochellexoxo my understanding is that you generally don’t report reduced movement until 24 weeks, but I could be wrong! If that’s what you’ve been told then obviously do call ☺️ If the movements are becoming more consistent and stronger then it probably is baby.

@xoxochellexoxo I have an anterior placenta and that is exactly how it felt when I first started feeling baby. Gentile tapping/bubbles popping and like a tiny fish is wriggling in there!

@MintGreenLife she gave me a leaflet on stillbirths (im in scotland) and she said the numbers are too high and that until im 27 weeks i can call my midwife to get checked to be safe and then after it would be triage

@xoxochellexoxo they will definitely get stronger. I started feeling what you describe around 19 weeks and they got stronger and stronger. Been feeling regular kicks and punches since around 24 weeks.
