Secret Saviours

Hello! I’m looking at the secret saviours bands to help prevent stretch marks, has anyone used them here?

I was looking at the briefs as I’ve heard the bands can roll up (would wear my own underwear under it) and the band for when I’m bigger so hopefully no rolling.

The band/brief itself is 50 quid each (there’s a Mother’s Day discount at the moment btw!) and noticed to get one with the gels is £90! That means 40 quid extra for the day and evening gels. I looked at the formulation and they seem to be quite simple but it says on the site it helps with the band working and keeping it in place - this has just got to be marketing right? I have other expensive products that I think would do a better job but wanted to know what other people thought?

Stretch marks are genetic. There is no product out there full stop that can stop them. You get them or you don't. Most products including oils or creams just feel nice to use and make you feel like you've tried.

Please spend this large chunk of money on something nice for you and baby.

This product sounds like a big fat waste of money, for something you really can't prevent.

Stay hydrated and cross your fingers. Lots cheaper and probably more effective.

Hahaha haha

In all seriousness they are a complete waste of money as are the "miracle" lotions and potions. Stretch marks occur from damage to the deepest layers of skin and can not be avoided if you are prone to them. If you are "genetically gifted" then you may not get them but not always a guarantee depending on the size you get to.
I am absolutely covered in stretch marks and have lots of excess skin after my twins (17lb combined at birth). I would need £6k surgery to make them look a bit better but would still have lots of stretch marks left behind. My brood are worth every one of those silvery little buggers.

It's all just snake oil.

Keep your money and buy something nice for the baby.

If you bought these and ended up with no stretch marks, it would be pure coincidence.

Please don't fall for this sort of scam.
As mentioned previously, stay hydrated, moisturise your skin, keep weight gain under control a nd hope for the best.

Stretch marks are genetic. I have some light ones on my hips from puberty but didn’t get a single one in pregnancy despite moisturising less than normal because I sweated a lot. I’m one of 4 and my mum doesn’t have any either.
