Nausea getting worse from lunchtime

Hi

I am just 8 weeks pregnant . I am finding my nausea is at it's worse 11/12 sort of late morning then continues. It then gets worse during the evening and I struggle to sleep because my stomach is churning . I am also waking up in the night feeling sick
This is absolutely draining me , I feel sick pretty much all day with retching and occasionally vomiting but it's the constant feeling that I will vomit that is getting me down . I struggle to bend and pick things up due to the motion . I feel so sorry for my 2 year old as I can't take him out at the moment and I have to keep lying on the sofa and giving him healthy snacks to try keep him sitting down for a little bit ( he is always on the move )

Any advice please ?
I have taken anti sickness and it didn't help From the GP, am trying to eat regularly as it's worse with an empty stomach. As soon as I have finished eating though I just feel sick again. Have been having polo mints too. I work 12.5 hour shifts luckily only 2 per week but I don't know how I get through them :(

I found eating something plain and carby (like bread, cereal, potatoes) every couple of hours, and sooner if I started feeling sick, helped keep the nausea away. I ate almost constantly some days! Best of luck

Pyridoxine 25mg three times a day and Doxylamine at night (makes you sleepy) is first line support for nause of pregnancy. I use ondansetron when it's awful but that does cause constipation.

Regular small carb meals too. It is what it is though Sad

I had exactly the same up to about 16 weeks. The anti sickness tablets just made me feel tired and dizzy which was worse for me than the nausea. I found ice pops or lollys helped, the cool feeling in your tummy feels lovely and gave me some relief. Other than that I just tried to rest as much as possible. I have an 18 month old so every nap she had, I would have one too.

It's so hard but it does seem to pass all of a sudden so fingers crossed yours does soon!

Like minipie, dry carbs helped but also going to bed as early as possible and staying there as long as you can. The nausea was worse the more tired I got.
