Hello!! I was in the exact same boat as you
Tried to conceive for two years before trying a supplement it’s called conceive plus ovulation support you can buy it on Amazon , the first month i took it I got my BFP ! Could just be luck but it took my cycle from 33-36 days to bang on 28 :) give it a go !!

FeistySheep · 10/03/2021 17:07

Hello :)
Highly recommend myo-inositol. It helps with the whole insulin/testosterone balance and gets your hormones back in check. It takes about three months to start working properly. You can get it on Amazon or wherever.
If you are overweight then losing weight will be a massive help to TTC. Women with PCOS can be prone to oestrogen dominance, and sadly body fat does not help with this! Neither does too much alcohol regrettably Sad
This is all a bit simplistic, but hope it helps. If you want more detailed science behind it, the internet is really helpful. Luckily PCOS is very common so there is loads of research!

FeistySheep · 10/03/2021 17:09

Oh and with myo-inositol and a healthy weight I conceived DC1 on month 4 trying, and DC2 on month 5. I did notice that both these months were low alcohol months for me, compared to my usual intake, hence my research into the effects of alcohol on oestrogen mentioned above. Good luck OP!

YES I swear by myo inositol. I get it from Zita west. With that and metformin I ovulated every month, had regular cycles and got pregnant. I’m now nearly 9 weeks xxx

Apple cider vinegar daily did it for me - currently pregnant with number 2! I think it regulates insulin and I also cut out all refined sugar. Good luck!

ker89 · 10/03/2021 20:33

I don't have any advice but just a positive story! I've had 3 natural pregnancy's without the help of any medicines or drugs and I have quite bad pocs. I know every body is different but try not to stress. It is possible xxx

Cafeaulait27 · 10/03/2021 20:39

Oh yes I also only have sugar on Fridays. The only other sugar I have through the week is from fruit xx

Smilingdonkey · 10/03/2021 20:58

I found a low GI diet regulated my periods within a few months and I have conceived easily three times 🙂 Sounds simple but it worked! Xx

I have PCOS diagnosed at 18 & am now pregnant with #3 at 29. Of course there are different severity’s but don’t be fooled into thinking you’re infertile, because it’s absolutely not the case for lots of women with PCOS!

Lots of good advice here, mine would be to keep your weight in check because it really helps you to keep your ovulation regular. Flowers

Hi, I never took supplements. I went from having no periods and heavy symptoms of pcos to taking control of it. I lost 10-15% body weight and did weight based/resistance training. Now 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby despite the obgyn telling me it wouldn't happen without ivf. It's difficult but don't let the pcos be the driver. Let the healthy(er) lifestyle and limiting stress enhance your overall wellbeing. This was the difference for me but appreciate different for everyone xx

MyBabyBoyBlue · 26/03/2021 11:45

I also have PCOS, diagnoses at 27 ish and told I would struggle to conceive naturally. I was pretty underweight at the time (v high stress job) and periods almost non existent, cycles of 50+ days. I cut out refined sugar and carbs, drank a LOT more water and one week after my first appt with a fertility specialist who told me I wouldn't conceive, I found out I was pregnant with my first. It had taken 6 months to get the BFP, so not long at all!

This time round, I fell pregnant on the first cycle. PCOS doesn't mean you won't conceive naturally and I know many women with PCOS who have done so - a healthy weight and lifestyle plays a big part in this. Insulin in particular plays a part in your LSH levels which can be high with PCOS.

Good luck and keep the faith!

PCOS is definitely not the end of your fertility. Smile

There is many different types of PCOS, understanding your particular type is paramount to getting it under control and trying to conceive.

Have a read through this when you get a chance >

Please, please speak to a doctor or fertility expert rather than relying on anecdotes from the internet. Nothing here is probably harmful, but may not be suited to your specific needs and issues.

Properly treated PCOS is no barrier to fertility or weight loss, so focus on working with your doctor to get it controlled.
