Severe pelvic pain

Hi
So with my first I thought I had bad pelvic pain/spd, but I'm 38 weeks pregnant with my second and its 10x worse than before. Its too late for a physiotherapy referral I'm afraid. Guess I'm not looking for a solution but has anyone had this worse with the second? I literally can't turn over when I'm lying or sitting it's so painful. How long was it till you went into labour when anyone had it?
My husband is absolutely fabulous but I don't think I can get through to him how painful it is to get up and down or to pick up our toddler 😥

I never had it with my first and second but have had it really bad with this pregnancy. Currently 36 weeks and in awful pain!
Sorry I can't offer any advice.
I'm fully expecting to go overdue with this pregnancy too though so I'm expecting another at least 5 weeks of it getting worse!

I’m really sorry. I’ve been there and it’s just awful.

Do you have the money to go private? If so, I highly recommend going to one of the approved physiotherapists on the pelvic partnership website for manual physio. I’ve been told it will help at any stage of your pregnancy, and it’s only around £50 a session for those outside of London. Even one session will immensely help (Again, so I’m told!)

You can also ask your GP for stronger pain relief.
I didn’t do either of these things (it was during the first lockdown and I was very afraid of unnecessary contact with anyone) and I suffered enormously.

Hugs x

Go and see an osteo, they'll fix it in one or two sessions.

Hi there,

I saw a post on here where Plymouth University are looking for people with pelvic pain for a new research study; may be worth looking at:
