I'm just about 30 weeks pregnant with my third baby, she's measuring 33 weeks however. With my second baby I fractured my coccyx during labour and was in pain for about 6 months.
All pregnancies iv suffered with SPD also.
The SPD is the worst iv ever had it and my coccyx hurts so bad it's like I can feel the break and it's trying to push through my skin.
I have never experienced pain like I am In and my previous labour's I did naturally no pain relief but these two things mixing is worse.

The midwifes are fully aware and have put in for physio but she said by the time they get in touch baby might be here.
I can't carry on with this pain . DH works away so im left with two toddlers on my own, I can't walk, having a hard time keeping the house tidy etc. Paracetamol doesn't work. Tried a belly band that didn't work.

Can any one suggest something?

Sorry you're feeling this way. They should be able to give you some pain medication if you speak to them

You have my full sympathy! I had a terrible time first and second pregnancy but second i obviously had a toddler (she was only 15 months when DC2 arrived so there was no reasoning). At one point it huet so much to move DH was having to lift me off the sofa.

Can you afford to get a private physio? Its not a fortune especially as you potentially only need a couple of sessions. I had an absolute wonder of a man who the last time i went in (in tears because DH was going away and I was in absolute agony) he pushed a little bit harder and worked an absolute miracle in that session. I couldn't walk going in and I was soooooo much better after that.

That being said the first phsyio i saw was terrible and made everything infinitely worse so make sure you get recommendations!!!

Rest (i know easier said than done) is the only other thing that helped me... and although it hurta this time it is so much more managable (so far)... and Im sure thats cos Im no longer commuting to work etc which invovled a fair chunk of walking.

Good luck! I really hope it gets easier for you!

@Catsandkittens638297 that sounds awful so sorry. Dealing with a toddler is exhausting and not sure how you’re managing with the pain. I was told that a referral to the physio via the midwife is classed as an emergency and you get seen (or at least a call) within 2 weeks. I’m in Scotland though so might be different. Alternatively can you push for an emergency appointment via your GP or private? I’ve been seeing a private physio as can get appointment at short notice and they are drilling seeing patients in person despite Covid. Also worth asking (pushing) your GP or midwife to contact the hospital obstetricians to discuss what pain relief is possible.

Agree with @Muststopeating if you are going private worth getting recommendations, also had bad experience with my first physio but the one I have now is great

I really recommend trying an osteopath. I saw one weekly for the last couple of months of my twin pregnancy because I couldn't walk even with crutches. She managed to get me moving again and massively reduced the pain.
