Boy or Girl symptoms?

Just out of interest...

Did anyone have an idea what sex they were carrying from symptoms etc?

Did any old wives tales speak any truth or do you think it's 100% random?

I find out this weekend so I'm intrigued

100% random.

I’ve felt different in all 3 pregnancies and have 1 girl/1 boy and another boy on the way.

The only symptom I could associate with the girl/boy old wives tales as I gained more weight/was rounder with my girl.

Had the worse sickness with my boys, both higher heart rates, craved sweets with one & savoury with the other

Good luck!

I was convinced I was having another girl as my symptoms have been the same with second pregnancy. It’s a boy.

Only difference I had was more bloating in early pregnancy with our son than our daughters. Felt worse with current than any of my others, hoping to find out gender on Saturday. Got 4 girls (2 singletons & a set of twins) and 1 boy atm.

To be fair I didn’t believe any of this stuff until now , everyone said I was carrying a girl this time round because I was so ill first pregnancy I had no sickness this time I couldn’t get my head out the sick bowl for months this pregnancy has been 100x harder than my first and we got our gender scan last week sure enough it’s a girl lol so part of me kind of believes haha

Probably just random but I was A LOT sicker with my dd, as in being sick every day for the first 15 weeks. Then again I did have a 1 year old to look after at the same time so could have been that. It did feel very different to my first pregnancy with my ds though.

PurBal · 05/03/2021 06:55

I've had almost non existent morning sickness. Everyone convinced it's a girl. He's a boy.

Enterthedragons · 05/03/2021 07:00

I’ve had 4 DDs and 1 DS. DDs I felt very nauseous throughout and food repulsed me. If I ever did want food it was likely to be something sweet. With DS I was so so so tired but not sick/nauseous. And I craved savoury/salty/spicy food. I could tell the difference from all the girls and knew he was a boy before I found out!

pumpkinpie01 · 05/03/2021 07:14

I was so sick with my dd couldn't eat anything sweet at all , even one smartie would make me ill all day. With the boys I only had vague nausea. The boys all had slower heartbeats too.

TallulahTaboo · 05/03/2021 07:19

I had all the same symptoms plus more that my sister had and she has three girls. I'm having a boy. Definitely confirms it's all old wives tails!

Good luck in your pregnancy 🤍

Spaghettiamaretti · 05/03/2021 08:54

Old wives tales were true for me. No sickness with my two boys but was crippled with nausea in the early stages of my current pregnancy which is a girl.

MintGreenLife · 05/03/2021 09:17

I personally don't believe in different symptoms for different genders, but then this is my first so I have nothing to compare it to! I've had: no morning sickness, occasional fatigue, bad skin.

c307 · 05/03/2021 20:57

Interesting! Thanks for all your replies, sounds like it's very much a mixed bag.

I can't wait to know, I'm so 50/50
