Hi, I’m new here!
I’m really worried and confused about everything. I’ve gained a lot of weight over the last few months around 18-20kg and haven’t been on birth control but I’ve been having periods. They have been shorter but still more of a period than spotting. I have been drinking and smoking. However, I went on Champix 2 weeks ago and cut down to about 2-3cigs a day. I’m supposed to have been ovulating now as I had my period 2 weeks ago. I was feeling really depressed about my weight gain last night and I had the "could I be pregnant?" Thought...so I decided to take a test this morning and it was positive, it wasn’t faint it was there not as strong as the control line and I was gobsmacked I was worried as I’d been drinking and smoking and I rang my dr, told her and she said it’s very unlikely to get a false positive so book with the midwife. I rang the hospital they asked when my last period was n I said 2 weeks ago. She said that’s not possible, we can’t book u have u not missed a single period I said no. She told me ring the early pregnancy unit who have given me a telephone appointment later today. However Do you think I should have waited before telling calling the doctor? I tested again now and it was negative I don’t want to look dumb but it was positive this morning and now it’s negative and I have had periods! I’m so confused and worried. I have to stop taking the champix as I can’t if I’m pregnant and I can’t smoke and I’m extremely stressed because I don’t know whether I am or not?!

I’m exactly 14 days before my periods due and I have no idea what to do...

It won't let me post a picture as I'm a bee user but if anyone could help I could send them it privately?
