Resting heart rate

Is anyone in (very) early pregnancy wearing a fitness tracker or smart watch with heart rate tracking?

Mine has tanked by 11 points in the last 3 days. This was a sign of my mmc previously so I'm expecting the same again and just trying to prepare myself. It'll be my 4th mc in a row so seems inevitable really.

Will anyone share with me the picture of your heart rate chart, please?

Or I suppose if anyone later in pregnancy can share theirs that would be super helpful too, please.

There is a thread in conception
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4122562-Tracking-your-cycle-and-possible-BFP-using-RHR-part-5?msgid=103390927 Where some charts have been shared.

I’m 6+5 and my HR has dropped too- this happened with my first pregnancy and I started bleeding at 8 weeks.
So I am super nervous too.
There are some people in the thread that had a drop in HR and all was fine so try to be calm until something happens that we need to be not calm about.

Thanks @Kona84 I have read that thread. My drop seems to be more extreme though so I'm very worried.

I'm sorry you have the same worry, it's just horrible isn't it? I really hope things are all fine for you and that all is well.

I had to stop wearing my Fitbit cause my rhr kept going up and down it was causing me more anxiety. I'm 33 weeks pregnant now x

Thanks for replying @gemgem1404. Did it fluctuate more than a few beats?

Sadly last time my gut instinct said that my decreasing heart rate was due to a mmc and I turned out to be right, but I desperately don't want that to be the case this time.

At its highest 70 and lowest 62. It must be even more of a worry when you've been through a mmc. Obviously my advice would be to take the watch off and try to relax but I know that's easier said than done. I really hope you get a good outcome this time x

Hi, I had this exact same worry! After I found out I was pregnant I watched my heart rate get higher on my Fitbit but after week 6 it dropped right back down again. However, it started to climb back up again after a week or so and is now staying around 74bpm (dropped down to 63bpm for a week or so). I'm 14 weeks now. Just wanted to let you know that it seems to be quite common for it to get higher then drop back down again but I found that it has definitely climbed back up again. Just wanted to give a bit of reassurance because I had the exact same panic and became obsessed with my Fitbit. If I'm being honest I do still check it every day but it now doesn't freak me out quite as much if it drops. It does sometimes drop down to around 70bpm for a day or so then it goes back up. I have a very wiggly line in my Fitbit app :-).

@Spin4Gin thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I am flipping between filled with despair and feeling so upset that it's gone wrong, to feeling full of hope that it hasn't! I'm only 5 weeks so it's extremely early days and got a week until I have a scan, if I don't start bleeding before then. I haaaaaate early pregnancy, it's the most awful and worrying time.

ivfbeenbusy · 01/03/2021 09:25

It's normal for RHR to drop around 6 weeks pregnancy before starting to climb again

treesall · 01/03/2021 09:33

Thanks @ivfbeenbusy. Sadly I'm just shy of 5 weeks so not feeling too hopeful
