Discharge or breaking waters?

Sorry for the TMI! I'm 37+3 and wondering if this is normal? I went to the loo for a wee, everything was fine and normal, did my business and then walked into the bedroom. All of a sudden I felt a warm liquid come out of me similar to the feeling of blood coming out!! I ran back to the toilet to check what it was and it looked like a pool of discharge, but it felt a lot more wet and was dripping. There was just so much of it compared to normal. It wasn't pink or clear, but creamy (what I've had throughout pregnancy). What do you think? I'm unsure if it's just an unusual amount or if my waters have started leaking and mixed in with it.

I would call your MAU and ask for advice based on what you have posted. I had similar a few weeks ago and they told me to put a maternity pad on and keep an eye on it for a few hours. They also said I should try to not go to the loo unless I couldn't keep it in (that would indicate waters may have gone). I'm 40+5 today and don't seem to be anywhere near labour

My waters started leaking at 41 weeks and it felt exactly like you described.

Their advice is to put a pad on, lie down for 30 minutes and if when you get up, your pad is wet, then it is quite possibly your waters as they will continuously leak.

Waters however are normally clear.

Give your MAU a call as PP said and they can easily check for you.
They will probably ask you to do the pad thing first.

Waters breaking also don't mean you're near labour. Sometimes it just happens.
It does mean you'll have to be induced though.

Thankyou both. I'm going to take your advice and put a pad on and see what happens! If it continues I'll give them a call!
