Hi all,

I’m pregnant for the fourth time. No living children (yet). I’m on Cyclogest and aspirin this time round to try and support a pregnancy to last. I’m 4w6d.

Anyone been on these for the same reason and have some happy stories to share? Have been issuing the Cyclogest since 10dpo when I got my first positive. Nervous as heck that it’ll mask a miscarriage (have half-convinced myself I’ll never carry to term). Just need some positivity xx

@monnis I'm sorry for your loss and congratulations. I was prescribed Cyclogest after an mc and mmc (also had an mc before I had DD, so three in total). I was on 800mg from my bfp to 12 weeks. I'm now 13wks and everything looked fine at my 12wk scan. I definitely recommend inserting rectally as has been recommended on this thread. I can't say for sure whether it's the progesterone that's got me this far, but I'm really grateful to have had something to give me hope that this time would be different.

Thanks @marplemead that is very reassuring! Finding this first few weeks stressful, very happy to be pregnant but also terrified of a reoccurrence. 🤞🏼 all will be well this time. Very happy to have read this thread.

And thanks for getting back to me so quickly and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy xx

@moonis Thank you and wishing you all the best. The first trimester after loss is really stressful. I had positive scans at 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12wks and still couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to go wrong. I'm only just starting to relax now.

You should join us on this thread. All in the same boat and lots of us who have been/are on progesterone:

Hey guys, I have an update - I’m pleased to say that I’m now 13 weeks and still on progesterone and aspirin.

Still putting the progesterone in rectally and it’s fine, I’ve really got used to it now. I have enough to last me until 16 weeks, I’ll be nervous to come off it!

Just wanted to give you some hope, I’m not out of the woods yet but my 12 week scan was great and reassured me loads. I didn’t have any early scans so that was the first time I saw our baby and it was amazing xx

Hi. Hope you don’t mind me asking but I’m due to start Cyclogest on ivf cycle before egg transfer. Not able to lie down at work to take vaginally so been told to do it rectally. Never put anything in there before and not sure best position to insert it in toilets at work. Any help would be greatly received
