8 weeks pregnant today by LMP, 7 weeks by OV.

Feel so sick all day it’s unbearable. Hungry all the time but can’t eat, and violently vomiting everywhere seems to be happening every day now. Every single food sounds disgusting to me.

Tell me it gets better soon Sad

P.S. if one more person tells me to have a f ginger biscuit I will scream

It does get better but you probably have a few week to go before it starts to ease. Eat whatever you can and try to stay hydrated.
I found napping helped.

OP - I will get better, from weeks 5-15 I was so sick and full of nausea I lots bucket loads of weight.

But it does get better, few tips(not ginger as that gives me the boak lol)

Ice lollies like fruit pastilles, digestive choc biscuits, pear drops sweets, love hearts. These things helped me massively but OP it gets better.

Hang in there.

Thank you both. I know logically it will get better and I am so happy to be pregnant but a few weeks feels like years away right now Sad

Hi ya, I'm the same, this is my 4th and I still feel like it will never ever end. I'm sure by12/14 weeks I was better but like you it feels so far off.

Tryingandhoping2020 · 21/02/2021 09:16

Hi @Skymum82, sorry you are suffering too Sad we’ll get through it! Just trying to take it one day at a time.

I’m sick as a dog too, and this is my third so apparently I just never learn! Please do take care of yourself and if you’re really struggling to keep anything down do speak to the doctor. This time around I can’t deal with anything sweet but plain carbs and cheese are just about manageable. It’s trial and error really on what’s stomachable. It’s also really tough and really shit and completely fine to hate being pregnant - doesn’t mean you want your baby any less or will be a bad mother, pregnancy is just a means to an end. And anyone who suggests differently can shove their ginger biscuits up their arse!

Very much feel your pain. I'm 12 weeks now and symptoms starting to ease but at 7 weeks I couldn't take the whole day nausea anymore, plus was barely eating, so my GP prescribed cyclizine and it made a big difference. Always a safe option if you feel comfortable taking something, I know not everyone does though I have no regrets.

Bluebell798 · 21/02/2021 10:04

Ugh it's awful; hang in there! I didn't have so much of the vomiting but felt constantly sick until about 16 weeks. Cold milk drinks seemed to help I guess? Also having something to eat first thing in the morning. I ended up on Ondansetron but they're expensive and only really took the edge off. Unfortunately I never really found anything that helped all that much. As PP said trial and error as some foods are more manageable than others.
It will get better, promise!

It's all consuming when it's happening but hopefully by the end of the first trimester it will be a distant memory. In the meantime, sucking mints and a steady supply of ready salted hula hoops and (weirdly) pickled onion monster munch saved my life in those first few weeks xx

Marcipex · 21/02/2021 12:29

My friend could only keep down Cheesy Wotsits and we wondered if the baby would turn out orange.
I was v v sick until about 15 weeks, when it just stopped.

Rosieposy89 · 21/02/2021 12:33

I'm 10+2 and the nausea is very, very slowly easing. I have had quite bad, constant nausea. I still have very heightened sense of smell. However, I'm trying to avoid foods that trigger nausea like anything with onions, peppers etc so I think that's why the nausea is reducing. Just eat whatever you can x

I am 16 weeks and totally understand. I contacted my gp 4 weeks ago as I just couldn't take it anymore and I was given cyclzine. It had definitely helped!
