I'm wanting to get a pram for current youngest dc and new baby which can be used as a single or a double

What would people recommend?

Hmmm... well it depends on your budget, there are some pretty good frame ones with changeable seating but they're quite expensive.
We had a tandem with our 2nd & 3rd (16.5mth age gap,) can't remember the brand. It was not the best for maneuverability as the older was a big boy and quite weighty. The back seat wasn't great as younger got taller either so we swapper to a basic stroller when older was 2 as he'd happily walk a couple of miles by then.
I loved our zeta voom double stroller (side by side), really good value. Very good manouverabilty, fit through most doorways easily, lightweight and compact for putting in car boot. We had the thick footmuffs for the winter and invested in a better raincover than it comes with. We got through 2 of them because of dog walks and getting up/down, in/out of car a lot.

I would like to be ideally able to have atleast baby parent facing past carrycot age which rules out most side by sides

Budget £600 max

Bugaboo Donkey - it's s pricey but an amazing bit of kit! Fully adjustable single/double, carrycots/seats, front/parent facing or combination of both, and very light and manoeuvrable considering its a side by side - it fits through a regulation fire door.

Sorry, meant to add - you would need to look second hand for that budget but I have seen them available for £600-£800 if you're willing to travel to collect.

Traveling to collect isn't great for me

I have seen a couple of Icandy Oranges in my price range, toddler will be nearly 2 when baby is born so i could possibly get away with only using a double while baby is carrycot sized.

Any experiences with the Orange?

No experience with the orange, but I really love my peach. Find iCandy really good quality and perfect for what we use it for. DC1 will me 18 months when DC2 arrives so we plan to buy the 2nd seat unit to convert. I have big babies and the seats of side by side doubles seem much narrower so worry chunky toddler won’t fit as long as he ‘should’

I tend to have big babies too @Keyboard91, the orange seems more cost affective than the peach as (if i understand properly) you get seperate seat and carrycot which you can use at the same time (if buy adapters) where as the peach the frame is the same for the seat and carrycot

the uppababy vista converts to a tandem double. You can definitely get second hand for your budget
