No idea about books sorry.

We had a 2 year old when our twins were born, we also had 2 older at 4 & 9. Tbh if you already have good routines with the toddler your twins will slot in pretty easily, ours did. It was very tiring but it gets easier as they can handle bigger feeds and start to sleep better.

Similar - don't know about books but DD1 was just 3 when the twins came.

My one tip would be find SOME way to make time for the older child. Our twins were in special care for a while - pretty common with twins - and then got chicken pox. And I was bfing them. All in all, it was actually a few months before I managed to have more than functional interactions with DD1. Obviously she'd been an only prior to then so think it was a huge shock.

In our case, DH is the lower earner and decided to go PT whilst I was on mat leave. His day at home each wk was totally focused on DD1 and that meant she had some 121 time with a parent. The first year was rough and looking back, I think that was vital.

Hi, I am 16 weeks pregnant with twins. I am struggling to find reviews or resources for products and equiptment needed. I am really hoping there is a mum on here who has some experience with my situation.
I have a two year old who isn't a fan of long term walking (especially as he has figured out he is expecting company!! :) ). I am on my own so mobility is really important as my son's father refuses contact with him and my twins are a product of IUI. I need a decent twin buggy with a walk board capacity.
The funny thing is I don't even know when is the best time to buy this, as my family and I are supersitious. My mother feels 16 weeks would invited bad luck into the pregnancy.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have twins and a 4 year old when they were born

I didn't buy the pram until over 24 weeks as twin pregnancy is so high risk (and we did nearly lose one at 28 weeks)

I have the silver cross wave but it is heavy and I can't imagine pushing it with a ride on board for your two year old?
Might be better putting a twin in a carry sling and then toddler and other baby in the pram Attachments

But the silver cross is eye watering expensive - £1500

Don’t know about having twins but I’m a childminder for many years and I can highly recommend this buggy. It’s actually a twin buggy that an American couple managed to make into a triple & it’s literally the best thing I’ve ever come across. The buggy can be a single, double or triple by clipping seats on & off & it’s very easy to push. I now have 2 of them, one in the hall & one in the car. I bought everything second hand.
Have a look www.picklee.com/2017/06/27/turn-city-select-best-triple-stroller-ever-reviews-diy/

I should say you can’t clip car seats to it but I don’t like babies in car seats for extended periods anyway so doesn’t bother me.

@Alsonification

Ooh that looks good! I'd love another baby once the twins are 2 and was wondering what I'd do pram wise

Alsonification · 18/11/2021 12:59

It is the best thing Ive ever bought hence buying 2 lol. I couldn’t get a raincover to go over all 3 seats so I have a tandem twin for the back 2 seats & a single one for the front. Makes it easier anyway if I’m only using it as a single or double.

Thank you. I think most prams for multiple births starts around £1500.

I've just got twins and no other children, but we went for the out n about double nipper and I've absolutely loved it. The lady in the shop said to me that people buy the bugaboo, icandy etc but then within the year they are coming back in for the nipper as it's so handy.

With regards to your 2 year old, how about this to fit on the back?

didiheart - you are a genius. I have been looking for this. I saw it at work and the couldn't tell me where they bought it. Does it work with most prams?
