Weeing myself when being sick!

Name changed as this is embarrassing!

I’m wondering if anyone else has the same issue...

I’m 15 weeks pregnant with twins. Second pregnancy, and I’m still being sick about once a day. When that happens I completely lose control of my bladder. I find that I have to wear a tena lady pad everyday as if I don’t I can get caught out and soak my clothes. Sad

Never had this in my first pregnancy and I never noticed my pelvic floor being this bad after DD. I mean, i once jumped on a trampoline which didn’t go too well.. and I had a bad cough which caused some issues but nothing this bad.

Is it just the pregnancy or am I going to live in fear of this forever? I’m never sick usually so I’m not sure if it’s the twin pregnancy or whether it will always be this way. I’m so worried it will get worse! I’m not even 30 years old!

Another one who experienced same (second pregnancy was singleton). Also happened with coughs and sneezes, contracted a horrific chest infection at 34 weeks into second pregnancy and still remember spending an entire night just sitting on toilet because of the amount of urine I would leak each time I coughed. Yet if I tried to wee when not coughing, nothing came out Confused

Lots of sympathy as it was awful and put me off having any more children

Pelvic floor exercises have helped it improve (although definitely not back to baseline). If cough is really bad or I vomit, I will leak a little but not the same amount as during pregnancy
