Do they induce/C-section big babies?

Hi all
33 weeks pregnant here and at my last scan (32+2) they estimated my boy to be about 5lbs 12. They didn't seen overly phased about this but the consultant did mention that sometimes they offer a c-section for bigger babies. I have another scan in a few weeks but just wondering if anybody knows what happens if you're expecting a big baby? I know to take these estimates with a pinch of salt in most cases but he has measured a good 3-4 weeks ahead at every scan I've had so far.

I was spoken to at 40 weeks about induction of my last baby est 9-10lb, however they managed to set me off with a sweep

This time i have a consultant app at 36 weeks to discuss the birth

Slightly different for me as I had gestational diabetes but I was induced at 40 weeks because my DS was measuring big and they were worried about shoulder dystocia.

He was 9lb5 so big but not massive.

It was recommended I have a section because of a big baby (estimated at over 10lbs they said)

Had the section. She was 7lbs 11oz 🙄

I was measuring 97th percentile on scans but the consultant said that they would only consider a C Section if the baby was measuring over 4.5kg.

I delivered DD via assisted vaginal delivery and she weighed nearly 4.2kg

I did ask about a CS in advance and was fobbed off a bit. After a long labour I did sign the consent form for a CS but ended up delivering with help from ventose. I would have been a bit annoyed if I'd had a CS after being fobbed off and then having to go through full labour but luckily it wasn't needed!

Not always their go to tbh.

My 2nd measured 4 weeks ahead on growth scans from 28wk, they were happy for me to go until 42wk. He was born at 40+5 weighing 10lb 12oz, natural unassisted birth. Our 3rd was also ahead but not quite as much, born 40+2wk 9lb 10oz again an unassisted natural birth.
Our twins were estimated at 5lb each at 32wk growth scan, ended up breech so cesarean and delivered bang on 38wk, 8lb 5oz & 8lb 11oz. Our eldest was an average 7lb 7oz and ended up with vontouse with her.

Thanks for the replies and insight... I would where possible prefer a vaginal delivery but of course will opt for the safest scenario! Suppose I'll know more at my next scan
