Tender and sore bump - normal!?

Hello all! After a little advice and other's experiences..

I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant with my first and have noticed in the last week or so my bump has been very tender. I get pain and aches around and beneath - usually when I'm sitting or lying down, and when I lie on either side I sometimes also get a 'pulling' feeling. Does this sound like round ligament pain?

I also keep having little panics that there's something wrong with baby - I think this is just my general anxiety but it seems as though my body isn't changing as much as I thought it would have by this point?! I don't know what I am actually expecting but I thought I'd have a more defined bump by now?

I hope I'm just overthinking things as I still haven't seen a midwife yet due to Covid! Luckily have an appointment booked with my community midwife next Friday so hoping for some clarity then!

Thank you for any advice! Xxx

It's just everything moving about / stretching to accommodate the growing baby. I had to go on sofa/bed rest at 18 weeks with my twins as started to find it very painful and uncomfortable from then onwards

@ivfbeenbusy thank you! Trying not to over think every new feeling, sometimes easier said than done! Grin

Sounds like round ligament pain I'm currently having it as well and 18 weeks

Everyone's bumps are different and if it's your first you won't show as soon as you think sometimes. My friends and I are both on second pregnancy and exactly the same amount I look huge and you can't even tell she's pregnant yet!

It will come x
