Help! Late period, negative tests, bleeding and then positive tests

Hi, I’d really appreciate it if anyone can give me any advice! I’m sorry for how long this is but I need to tell the full story for context.

So I have the Flo app, and I was due to start my period in January 18th. I ended up being 10 days late and during that time I took 5 clearblue tests and all of them came back negative (not even a slight faint line). Then on the 10th day of being late I had light pink bleeding and then the next day I got my ‘period’ (not sure if it was one) and it lasted 3 days which is normal for me.
So then 7 days later (about 2 days ago) I thought everything was normal when I started experiencing cramping and light pink bleeding again. I had a spare pregnancy test upstairs and decided to take it and it has now come back positive and it was a strong blue line. I then went to Asda and picked up a digital one and some pregnacare and I took it when I got home (about 11pm so it was late) and it said I was 2-3 weeks (which after Googling I’m sure means 4-5 weeks). I rang the doctors and they said going from my previous period it would mean I am actually 6 weeks but she gave me the number of the early assessment unit incase I have anymore bleeding and cramping.
Now 2 days later (today) I’m still experiencing light pink bleeding. I haven’t had any more cramps since 2 days ago, but I decided to take my other clear blue digital test and it now says I’m 1-2 weeks. I was really upset by this but I’ve heard that many mums have experienced this and that clearblue digital tests are hated by midwives due to being unreliable.

I’d really appreciate any advice, I’m just really confused how I could be 6 weeks pregnant if the 5 tests I took 2 weeks ago all came back negative, and I’m so confused about the bleeding I had for 3 days when I was 10 days late. I suppose if it was a miscarriage it would make more sense for the tests before to be positive and the ones now to be negative. And I’m confused about the clearblue going from 2-3 to 1-2 I’d really appreciate any advice people could give me!!! Thank you so so much, I think I’m going to take a test on the 18th when I get paid and see what it says then, hopefully I’ll have been to see a midwife by then. Please help

@Chica1990 so the saga continues haha. I ended up getting another blood test and my levels dropped right down to 50, that was last Tuesday. The nurse sent a pregnancy test in the Mail and told me to take it this morning (a week later). So I took it this morning and it came back positive (when really it should be negative by now). I was then told to go for ANOTHER blood test and now my hcg levels are going up again, they were 67 today so they’ve gone up by 17. I’m really stuck with what to think haha

Wow that’s weird, if your bloods were 50 over a week ago they shouldn’t have gone up at all really. Are you going for another test in a couple of days?

@Chica1990 they said I should get a call hopefully tomorrow to discuss what happens next, so yeah it’ll probably be more blood tests. I’m so confused though, I’d rather just know, when I found out my levels had gone down to 50 it weirdly gave me a bit of piece of mind knowing what was going on, but now it’s a bit all over the place.

My partners mum is a nurse and worked on the early pregnancy unit for a few years, she doesn’t even have a clue what it could be. The only thing she suggested was that it may have been twins and maybe one failed. My partner is a twin (non identical) and twins run in his family, there’s quite a lot of twins in his family. But I’m not sure, could still be an ectopic. So I guess I’ll find out eventually

It does seem very strange! I think they will want to see you again to monitor things. Hopefully you know what’s going on soon, this must be horrible for you x

It's possible you had an incomplete miscarriage (whether it was uterine or ectopic) but a small part of the gestational sac remains attached and it is producing a small and comparatively steady amount of hcg. You need a scan to rule it out. This is not a case of twins or a viable pregnancy unfortunately, you tested positive weeks ago, you need to think about your own health.

@anniebu my partners mum also mentioned that as well. I think that seems to be the likely thing. Just want it to be over with to be honest, I’m planning to go to university in September so this is all a bit stressful. But yes I think that’s the most likely outcome

Hey, I'm 7 days late and had severe abdominal/rib pain so was advised to go to the urgent care treatment. They've taken a blood and urine test which both have come back negative, I've never missed a period or have been late. From what I know I ovulated on the 16th March and DTD on the 13th 14th &15th. I have sore breast and a tender stomach also, I'm unsure of what's going on. Do I completely rule out that I could be or have had a late ovulation or what's your thoughts? I've tested twice before and they were also negative. Unsure of what to do other than just wait for it to come, any advice would be appreciated xx
