Hi All
Well the title says it all really. Bottom line is I need to have this bub ASAP but am really not at all keen to have an induction. What questions do you all think I should be asking, what criteria do they use to decide suitability and what are the alternatives?

You need to ask what methods they will use and how long they will give you until they decide it is not working for you.

why do you need to have bub ASAP, why can you not wait until 42 weeks????

Lulumama · 01/11/2007 19:00

why do you need to have this baby asap?

ok, ask what time you will be admitted

how many doses of prostin gel you will get in 24 hours

when they will do ARM

when they will give you syntocinon drip

will they insist on CFM

can you move around and be as mobile as possible

I totally agree with the points that Lulumama has made. I was induced at 41 weeks and was started off on a Saturday and had my dd the following Tuesday!!

personally I would be asked to be started off in the morning as it's really hard to sleep in hospital - too noisy.

Thanks everyone, think I'm getting an idea of what I need to discuss
About the needing to have bub asap sounds a bit pathetic when I put it into words but I'm just not coping now physically or emotionally. won't go into a long list of complaints as its only days now but every day seems like a month at the moment
