I had a mc at 9+3 in July after having a hb confirmed on a scan at 8+3, waiting for my scan felt like a lifetime. 2nd mc since having my twins, 5th total.
Had my scan for current pregnancy yesterday and my edd has been moved forward 4 days (13+1wk today). Didn't get good pictures because (just the one) baby was having a party in there and moved every time the sonographer tried to get one. I feel so much happier knowing things are well, looking forward to the next scan. Baby #6 so feeling a fair bit of movement from it now too which is lovely.

Any ladies struggling with the worry of the 1st trimester after mc, hang in there it does feel like a weight has lifted when you see that little one on screen.

ah thanks @Chelyanne for the reassurance! at 10 weeks now after MMC, and super anxious, but trying to stay positive after early scan showed HB at 7+1. defo feels like a lifetime til NHS scan.
Really glad yours all went well yesterday!
trying to hold off booking another private scan and just will wait it out.

I'm 16 weeks after a MMC at 10 weeks and a early miscarriage at 5 weeks. I feel ever so slightly more reassured now I'm in second trimester, but I'm also aware of e.g. celebrities who have had later miscarriages, and a friend who lost one at 8 months, so I can't say it's been a big change. The biggest thing for me was the first scan - we had a private one at 7 weeks and after the MMC having a huge blank space where a baby should have been (anembryonic pregnancy) it was SO amazing to see a heartbeat and a baby! We were also lucky that our 12 week scan took nearly an hour as the baby wasn't in the right position for the nuchal measurement so we were able to watch it for ages and eventually I had an internal scan which gave such a clear picture, I was able to see its fingers and even it's tongue! But then I got nervous again until I heard its heartbeat at the 16 week appointment with the Doppler. Magical. I think it's best to try and manage your worry the whole way through rather than hoping it will go away at some point - distract yourself, don't read anything into symptoms (unless serious/bleeding), don't google too much, talk to your partner/friends/family etc.
