Birthing Partner rules Scotland?

We are going to be between a couple of addresses (covid lockdown rules dependent of course) whilst we wait for our new build house to be complete at the time of birth. Basically, we are keen to keep/move antenatal and postnatal to the health board with the rules where birthing partners get the most access.

Our choices would be: NHS Lothian, NHS Fife & NHS Tayside - anyone have any experience of births in these health boards during covid times?

@swiftt

When are you due?
Not until July so things could change and we would make our decision a little later but good to start thinking about it now :)

I'm Lothian. Issue might be its hospital and case level specific as well.

I was elcs December and told to prepare to go alone. Evening before they called to say dh could come. He was allowed to stay until teatime, but left mid afternoon to sort dd1.

They said he and he alone, could visit if I needed him to, for a couple if hours each day. I knew I was on a 48 hour discharge so he didn't come and we were home next day.

They were discharging natural delivery straight from labour ward so they didn't enter post natal unless needing or wanting to stay. I was in a side room but never heard any visitors arriving.

The midwifes were absolutely wonderful, supportive and kind beyond words. I didn't feel lost or abandoned by dh at all and was fine on my own. N
