Sharp stabbing pain in cervix @ 39 weeks

Currently 39 weeks pregnant & for the last hour , I've been in some considerable amount of discomfort with my cervix & baby moving .....

LO is moving around a lot more causing some pain when he does so , I've tried moving around to see if that will help , hasn't really done so

Along side this , I'm also getting sharp stabbing pains in my cervix & front of my vagina
They only last a couple of seconds but there enough to make me become immobile & stop speaking

I'm thinking intense braxton hicks .....
Am I right ?

I can't keep up with all the new threads you make! Unless they're getting stronger and more frequent and a pattern, then put it down to Braxton hicks, lightening, cramp and groin pain. It's just what happens at this stage. X

Fanny daggers are very very common throughout but especially near the end of pregnancy. He’ll be pressing down more and just in an uncomfortable position for you.

I always found the last week or so the worst but try and console yourself with the thought that it’s nearly over! Brew

This happened to me. Three hours later I was in established labour....

Seriously though, call midwife if in doubt or worried. That's what they're there for x

I had this this morning and thought I was going into labour...but pretty sure it was lightning crotch...def check with your maternity support if you're worried but yea its so hard in the last few weeks when discomfort is so common!
