I'm 13 weeks PG with no2 and am feeling really down today. Keep blubbing for no reason. Am also having trouble sleeping. Just lying there with my brain whirring and not switching off. It doesn't help that my 2.5 yr old keeps ending up in our bed every night and takes over my half.
Can anyone out there cheer me up please!
I'm sure it's just the hormones but I feel c**p and am also feeling guilty for being crabby with my daughter!

Hormones - -who'd have them? Poor you. Don't know what to advise really as like you say it is for no reason. You are maybe just tired? Can DD go stay with anyone for a night to give you some peace? If she can even stay with someone for the day go and treat yourself to a facial, manicure or something. You deserve it and you certanly won't have time when baby comes.

Sorry not much help am I?

I am a v light sleeper and cannot bear my dds being in bed with us (except when they're sick and I then evict dh and nurse the child alone) so try and get tough (or get your partner to do it) and put your toddler back in bed, you need some proper sleep the 1st trimester (esp. 2nd pregnancies) is v tiring. and do something nice for yourself: chocolate is always good, and crap magazines in my case or a light but funny video.

I have had terrible trouble sleeping in this 1st pg of mine, so I know how it feels. The hormones are bad enough, but coupled with that sleep deprivation thing, and things can seem v. black indeed. I've tried everything in an effort to be able to sleep a bit more, or at least not go to pieces (I know what you mean about the constant crying, whole weekends have gone by in a haze of tears...), and these are the best things I have found to be able to help. Sepia homeopathic can help with the hormonal roller coasters a bit, coffea and passiflora (also homeopathic) can help with a whirring brain, and the bach's flower remedy "olive" is supposed to be able to help for over exhaustion due to not sleeping. I hope that helps! I'm now at 16 weeks, and haven't turned the corner yet into that energetic 2nd trimester, but I do feel a bit better than at 12 or 13 weeks for instance.... good luck!

oh, and another thing, i don't know what your circumstances are re: what you do during the day, but I found it much easier to get a bit of sleep by napping during the day when possible. I'm still working full time, so it's mostly confined to weekends (when I have 100001 other things to do, never mind!), but I found that taking the odd day off or cutting short my working day to get home by 4pm and grab a few hours kip, was a great help.....
