MOVEMENT - help. Go back in again??

I was at the hospital for monitoring due to reduced movements on Saturday, everything was fine and I went back again the next day on Sunday for a full scan and again, all fine. Baby moving again much like normal by the next day.

However, today I just feel like the same thing is happening again where I'm not feeling anything as much as I usually would. Do I go back again despite only just being there and having a scan?

I'm nearly 39 weeks.

Sit down with something sweet to eat/drink. Concentrate for 30 mins. If you don’t get enough movement, phone in.

They do slow down when the head engages and there’s less room, but you should still feel it.
Does baby respond to you gently rubbing your bump ?

I have been sat with a cold drink and I can't really feel much at all. I can feel pressure which may be him but I can't feel what I can definitely say is movement.

I've also had a bath which usually gets him squirming and nothing Sad

I will call them now. I just feel like I'm wasting their time.

If you’re worried you’re not wasting time.

Yes definitely go back in. Checking the baby is the most important thing. No one will think you’re wasting their time, even if they did so what! I went in a lot towards the end for reduced movement and was always told I’d done the right thing, all was fine every time.

I went in a few times with reduced movements and was always told I was definitely not wasting their time, even though all was fine. It's better to be on the safe side

Go back in. I know it is a hassle (I’ve been in multiple times for ctgs due to reduced movements) but if you fail to act on it / fail to flag your concerns with the midwives you’d never forgive yourself if something untoward happened.

I’m sure all will be fine but its not a risk worth taking, and at 39 weeks baby may well be better out than in!

Best of luck!

You're not wasting anyone's time! Go back in. If you're experiencing reduced movement, you're experiencing reduced movement, and there's no way anyone can know if it's OK without putting you on a monitor, so you have to get checked.

Go back in, despite what people say babies movements should not reduce at the end, they won’t be doing big kicks but they should move just as much. Better to be safe
