Hi all, I've just had my 32 week midwife appointment and she mentioned that baby was lying left to right, she didn't seem to fussed and didn't mention it further but after doing some research I've realised this can be an issue if baby doesn't move herself head down over the next few weeks.
I'm hoping baby will do it herself and think it's quite common at this stage, but does anyone have an tips on yoga/exercises etx that I can do that will encourage her, anything at all really would be greatly appreciated :) thank you!

Most babies will change over the last few weeks, which is probably why the midwife wasn't too fussed :) I'd say wait to see what your baby is doing at later appointments before you bother with any baby turning exercises.

Spinning babies website.

Hope she turns for you. Agree not to be too worried, but if I were you I would feel happier starting exercises sooner rather than later, as the bigger she gets the less room there’ll be to turn.

Try not to worry too much! Mine was transverse at my 32 week appointment too, then by the time I had a scan at 35 weeks she had gone head down! Vast majority of the time they will turn by themselves.

Dd was transverse until about 37 weeks. Born at 40+5. Plenty of time to turn yet.

I'd assumed they were turning around all the time at this point - only 30 weeks but at MW appt at 29 wks he was head down. Last night I got loads of strong "kicks" to the bladder which I assumed were feet meaning he was head up, this morning I could feel his body lying sideways inside my bump - I could feel head and bum and was getting strange feeling kicks on my right side. This afternoon I felt a big roll and he's back to kicking up top again (with the odd gentler punch at the bottom). I didn't think it was a problem until 34-35 weeks anyway. I'm definitely trying to spend some time on my exercise ball in the evenings - on the sofa I always lean back and I read that can encourage them to go back to back which is harder for delivery and I read somewhere (no idea if reputable!) that the gentle rocking/bouncing on the exercise ball encourages them to move head down. It's helping my back anyway so worth doing!

My little girl was oblique and transverse the whole pregnancy, it didn't matter much as was booked in for a section anyway due to complications. But she did move head down at 37 weeks. So still time for baby to move. Same happened with my second he was breech and then finally went head down at 38 weeks.

Mine was transverse until about 36 weeks, I just sat in my ball as much as I could and really try not to slouch back on the sofa and one night she turned. you'll need to prop yourself forwards with pillows. There is plenty of time for them to move but transverse is a problem so you will need to work on moving then Smile
