Second baby cesarean?

Hi all!
So I ended up having a c-section in Jan 2020 with my first due to my waters going at 36+4, I had to be induced as I had no contractions and didn't dilate and I also developed preeclampsia shortly after my waters went. Baby's heart rate started to slow down 4 hours later, so they decided I had to have an emergency c-section. Baby was born healthy and my blood pressure went down within a couple of days.
I've never had any blood pressure problems and the midwives at the hospital told me that having preeclampsia during birth doesn't mean I will have blood pressure issues in the future, but my second pregnancy would be high risk and I'd be monitored more closely throughout just in case.
I've been doing a lot of googling and I've read that sometimes women are induced a little early to avoid any problems however. I've also ready that in order to lower the risks of getting preeclampsia I'd have to avoid getting induced... a bit contradictory so I really don't know what to think!
Of course my main concern is baby and as long as it's healthy the birth won't matter however, I would prefer to have a vaginal birth this time round as my last birth (c-section) was traumatic. The recovery was horrible and I just really don't want to go through it again.
I'd love to hear some stories of second time mums who had a vbac or any similar stories to mine? Or any advice as to what I should be doing or could do during this pregnancy to lower the risks of having another cesarean. Thank you!!! ❤️
