Ok, I've had really bad morning sickness and I still suffering at 19weeks. Haven't been to my GP as I hate to whinge and just thought I would be told well what did you expect!

Well I don't know but I expected not to be throwing up all day and waking up in the night to throw up

I've done all the things you are supposed to eat small amounts, drink, ginger, sea sickness bands. I've had enough

for the last 5 weeks add really bad acid / indigestion which is only adding to the MS.

Now her is the funny one. I have started to notice in the last week the area from my breast bone down to my naval goes rock hard befor I am going to be sick one I've got acid. Its misserable and It was supposed to stop at 12 weeks

Is this normal will I ever stop throwing up.

Only good side effect is that I am lossing weight not putting it on!

Oh Poo!!

I hate Dr.

Thought they would very helpfully say. Well MS is what you get when your pregnant!

Oh no my GP is lovely.

Just hate to be a bother to her.

But I am seriousl fed up now and i'm lossing the will to carry on.

What makes it worse is that I have to take a lot of medication anyway and it is a really struggle to get it to stay down.

Thanks of wise and wonderful people of MS

15 weeks this week and still sick, not as bad. The trapped wind is the worst, just below the chest. I sort of twigged last night that shocking the body with cold milk and water would make the tummy worse so I started to have warmed goats milk (pasturised) and that did the trick, I did not get up for the whole night last night and have had no trapped wind today so far.

But I am only eating the size meals of a 100 year old woman whos not hungry.

macaco · 30/10/2007 12:33

Sympathies. I'm 15 weeks today and still throwing up in the morning and twice yesterday...lost my lunch . Have terrible acid indigestion which is almost as bad as it makes you feel queasy. You should go to the GP there are things they can give you for both ms and indigestion. Don¡t suffer in silence!

elliemac · 30/10/2007 12:39

I had really bad morning sickness up till about 20 weeks with DD. Really really bad trapped wind too. A friend at work gave me a cup of Fennel tea one day to try and soothe my indigestion - anyway to cut a long story short it got rid of the trapped wind and settled my stomach. I would still go to your GP if its that bad though. Sorry you're feeling so bad. Its really horrid!!! This is why women have babies - can you imagine a man putting up with all that.

StaryNightSky · 30/10/2007 12:55

Totally agree with the comment about men.

I'm convinced that if men had to carry the babies and get morning sickness there would be a cure for it already!!!!

I really don't want to go to the Doc's. I feel like if I complain about anything they are going to make the birth really difficult. They have me down as a high risk preganancy and I really worry if I complain about MS they will use it to justify what ever it is they want for me for the birth. Not what I want for the birth!

I could deal with it if someone would tell me when it would end!

elliemac · 30/10/2007 19:20

Don't be daft! If its getting you down keep going back till they sort it for you. It will end i promise. Then you wake up and think 'i haven't been sick today there must be something wrong'. Hang in there its worth it in the end. I'd do it all again - even the puking!!

daisynova · 30/10/2007 20:20

Oh honey, I completely sympthise with you as I am too in the same boat though I am 18 weeks now and still puking. I am not dehydrated and not losing weight but that is only due to baby & boobs growing so the weight loss is balanced out with that. Docs refuse to give me anything too which in turn is causing trouble with work as I have been off for 5 weeks with it.

StaryNightSky · 30/10/2007 20:48

Oh Daisy

I'm sorry you poor thing.

Have you tried all the usual things like ginger biccies? I've also been told to try Ginger Ale.

Hope work are being ok with you.

Daisynova - I am just the same, I am 13 weeks and I've been off work for the last 3 - I feel dreadful, feeling sick and being sick, soooo tired, nothing seems to help but if I stay still and sip water it is bearable - what did your doctor say? Mine said he would rather sign me off work than give me tablets to take, which my DH agrees with. But besides the fact that I am worrying a bit that work will think I am a slacker, everyone else will think I am exaggerating I am also getting really down with being on my own all day and feeling so awful , I just want it to stop! I am pleased to be pg but my last pgnancy was nowhere near this i am so fed up!
Starry night sky - are you off work? Anyone else off? How are you all doing?

Janus · 01/11/2007 11:27

Oh Stary, that must be awful. I have felt awful for first 12 weeks but it is easing now, I cannot imagine it still being bad at 19. My mw asked me last week if I was suffering and I said I had been but it was beginning to ease, she said straight away that if it continued I should see my GP, it is not something you should have to suffer with.
Another idea, my neighbour has suffered in all her pregnancies, right up until giving birth with first 2 (sorry!!). The last time she was being sick up to 30 times a day and at around 12 weeks went to a specialised accupuncturist and had a tiny needle inserted in her ear. It was left in with a plaster over the top. The sickness stopped immediately and only came back when the needle came out one night in bed. Had it inserted again the next day and stopped again. Sounds miraculous and may be worth a try?
Good luck.

ConnorTraceptive · 01/11/2007 11:36

Bloomin' heck love how the hell have you gone 19 weeks without bothering your doctor. I practically lived in my gp's office for the first 4 months.

As for it all going away at 12 weeks well that's just lies lies lies!

I was hospiatlised for morning sickness and am 23 weeks now have been feeling ok for about 3 weeks.

StaryNightSky · 01/11/2007 15:16

Oh its easy.

For the first few weeks I could bearly leave the floor of my bathroom! Used tosit in there as i got so fed up with having to try and hobble there every few mins.

You poor thing. I am certainly not suffering enough to be hospitalised. Mined you I would have to be nearly dead to let them take me in anyway!

I'm pleased you are starting to feel a little better I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

superwitch · 01/11/2007 15:23

I went to gp for the second time on Mon and I'm only 8 1/2 weeks! She looked up anti-emetics and lots are licenced for the 2nd trimester of pg so she will be able to give you something. Are you still at work? I was signed off for 6 weeks with no. 1 and have been off 3 already with this one.

JackBlackRoady · 02/11/2007 07:39

That a few of you are off work with sickness is making me feel better, i think the guilt of not going in was making me feel worse...
I was reading on a website that keeping a diary makes you see what triggers the sickness but it is not like that for me, anything and everyhing triggers it, like moving out of bed or getting up off the couch!

Buzz82 · 18/05/2018 06:31

I know how u feel im 6 weeks the sicknesss is getting me down i hate the dry gag just cant wait till it gets better

Daniixx · 02/03/2021 09:01

I sympathise with you aswell (no Ms) - I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and have been really sick from about 8 weeks in. Iv been off sick from work now for 8 weeks feeling terrible :( everyone said it would pass at about 15 weeks but not for me

Summersun12 · 02/03/2021 11:03

Go to doctors.

I had terrible morning sickness with first dc from 6 weeks to 40weeks. It was horrendeous so i completely sympathise.

Someone said to me "the feeling will completely leave you when baby arrives and you will feel normal again"

I kept that in my head on the very bad days and they were right. It will go.
