I remember this well with my first pregnancy but pretty sure it was towards the end not at 9 and a half weeks!!

Surely My hips shouldn't be aching this much already? 3 nights In a row now iv really struggled to get comfortable, I think the pregnancy pillow is going to have to come out a lot earlier this time!

Has anyone else experienced this so early on?

I'm 19 weeks and also experiencing pain in my hips/pelvis, especially when I wake up in the morning.
Last time I had to start seeing a physio from 22 weeks with PGP, so looking like I'm having the same issue again.

It sucks, I feel your pain

I experienced hip and lower back pain at around 11 weeks, so much so that I ordered a pregnancy pillow but thankfully it's subsided now.

Start altering your mobility range now as it can help. Try shortening your stride when walking. If climbing in to a car, sit down then swing both legs in together. Take 1 step at a time if using stairs. It can weaken muscles over the duration of pregnancy so you'll need to rebuild strength after birth. I think this is why sufferers get it earlier each time, they just don't regain enough strength.

I 1st got spd with my 2nd. After him the symptoms got earlier and earlier in each pregnancy. Since I had our twins I took up weightlifting to rebuild strength and repair diastasis recti so I've started out with much stronger and stable hips. This time my hips are achy but it's very tolerable day to day, currently around 9+6wk. I find my hips and lower abs are making barbell squats much harder already, I have reduced the weight down but think I'll have to reduce it further pretty soon. I'm determined to maintain some strength to make later stages of pregnancy a bit easier. I've been training for 3.5 years now so safe for me to continue at reduced intensity.
